Like I was saying! Yeah, this represents the absurdity of toxic religion better than any long form essay.

Even if your selfish self-centeredness extends beyond yourself to immediate family members, how many generations of descendants do you expect to have if your likeminded brethren destroy Planet Earth?

The only rational members of the billionaire-wealth extraction club who have even thought of this dilemma are the ones who have some bizarre hopes that:

a. the upheaveals will only be temporary, so they can safely jet off to their private compounds in New Zealand(that the rich are already setting up now)...believed by environmental realists to be about the last place on Earth humans will be able to survive in the more distant future of rising sea levels, toxifying oceans, and deadly heat and GHG levels.

b. a few of the Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson types, are going the next step and diverting more funding to space rockets and plans for human colonies in space or on Mars. This stuff of science fiction is the Tower of Babel of our times, as there are too many problems with keeping self-sustaining biospheres functioning in the long term and preventing death and sickness of regular solar bursts of gamma rays, to allow these science fiction notions of Star Trek episodes to actually come to fruition!

The only long term solution would be to make sure by whatever means necessary, the human race doesn't destroy the habitat it lives in, but this seems to be the last option this type ever wants to contemplate!

The liberal establishment isn't doing a whole hell of a lot to stave off our collective extinction..aside from do a few good deeds like put up solar panels and pretend the problem is solved, but the right is about pure nihilism...they don't care if everything's destroyed, as long as they can live high on the hog for a short time!
Short of eliminating the dunderheads by force, what do you expect the rest of us to do about the right?

In case you have not noticed it —— evangelical environmentalist are exactly like organized religion’s parasite priests. They all want to be paid for forcing their morality on everybody with one exception. Evangelical environmental parasites are paid with involuntary tax dollars, while religion’s priests have to get voluntary donations from true believers.

Parasites are always looking for a new scare tactic. It will not be long before parasites swear the universe is in danger and tax dollars is the only way it can be saved for posterity. In fact, this old movie hinted that mankind could destroy the universe:

To BubbaJones: Evangelical environmentalists insist that the rest of save every insect, fish, bird, and tree in addition to regulating the atmosphere’s temperature for future generations.

I have never met an environmental freakazoid who wanted to save individual liberties for posterity.

I have never met an environmental true believer who did not start preaching about saving this, that, or the next thing the minute they smelled an opening. Many years ago I met one who went on and on about saving a few patches of dead coral reef because it took nature millions of years to make them. He swore they were objects of beauty. I swore they looked like rocks. The truth: Environmental addicts are not interested in saving rocks or roaches; they insist on saving the world for posterity, even when it does not need saving.
Gullibility Is Addiction’s Prime Move

Thank you for admitting you’re a selfish prick. Well done.

I'm looking for answers, but this is the hardest nut to crack!

We used to think that the oil will run out and the wheels of capitalist civilization would grind to a virtual halt before the atmosphere and oceans were carbonized...but as we've seen with the continued debt-financed developments of "tight" oil, capitalism may be too resilient a force to die under its own weight in time for anything to be left of the future!

I wish I could be more optimistic, but this looks like the hardest dilemma of all: sailing into an iceberg and not being able to stop or turn in time!

Actually, things were turning around until Dotard. But with China's continued progress in environmental efforts and continued march towards world dominance in economic strength and political influence, things may pivot again. I just hope it's in time.

What a shocking change to be pulling for China for the FSM's sake.

The freakazoids are the ones who insist on the "liberty" to pollute and defile.

All the imbeciles who insist on the "liberty" to pollute are too young to remember how badly polluted the US and other Western nations were.

They really believe the clearer skies and cleaner water they were born into are just how things are. They have no idea how much effort and expense went into the skies and water they see today.

That's why they support our president in his retro-effort to roll back the clock to the good ol' days of no regulations and rivers on fire.

No, I've been saying for awhile that 'Dotard' is a symptom of the problem/not the problem itself!

There have been a number of accredited climatologists already who've stated publicly that even in the best case scenario of every nation signing that Paris Accord actually meeting their targets (and Canada won't be one of them)atmospheric CO2 levels are still going to rise above the presumed point of no return - 2 degrees C global average.

There is so much crap like globalization for instance, that is never, ever part of the environmental debate because it is accepted by all of the parties on all sides. But what sense does it make for milk products to be moving back and forth between Canada and the US in the first place? What sense does it make that the United States exports an almost identical amount of meat products as it imports from foreign sources? It's like the multinational corporations and banks that started engineering the forced trade system after WWII are just laughing at us all now!
