A federal judge in Maine has upheld their campaign finance disclosure laws, requiring the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) to disclose their homophobic donor list:

The National Organization for Marriage sued after the state ethics commission found that it was required to disclose the identities of its donors. On Friday, U.S. District Judge D. Brock Hornby granted a summary judgment upholding the constitutionality of Maine's election disclosure laws.
I'm not surprised NOM is trying to hide the identities of its donors - maybe they should just use white sheets with pointy hoods?

if there are businesses that have contributed, I want to ensure that they receive none of my money to use against me.

Yep - that's why I'm very careful where I spend my company's money in CA and UT. No way in hell do I want bigoted businesses using my money to harm my daughter.

*** This is the same crap that the prophater's whined about, as well.... they wanted to be able to sign petitions in favour of bigotry and exclusion, but boy did they whine when they were faced with public disclosure of their own bigotry.

Seems to me that if you are strongly proud for something in order to take a bold stance, you ought to have the courage to put your name on it.

Ray......I do put my name on it. I am very vocal about my beliefs. But some people might be scared of being attacked by those that share your views. Who whines and cries and is outraged when people voice oppositiion to same sex unions? There is no tolerance on your side you make that plainly obvious, especially your posts on this forum. You cant agree to disagree......

You do more than take stances....you demean, bash, use vulgarity, you name it.....against the people whose opinions you dont share.

well, obviously, if you were in business and I found out how bigoted and intolerant and anti-Christ-like you are, you wouldn't have the opportunity to "want" my business or not.

Though, when I volunteer at the local soup kitchen, I would still graciously hand you your bowl of charity chicken noodle and you would never be aware of what contempt I held you in.
