I guess the same thing that happens now when a divorced couple without an annulment wants to get married in the Catholic church. Or when a non-Jew wants to marry an Orthodox Jew in an Orthodox temple. or. Or. OR.

There are myriad examples of how a church does not have to marry anybody they don't want to ... they can refuse to marry a couple simply because they don't believe they're Christians.

It will be interesting to see just how long it takes before the Episcopalian Church starts losing it members.

Yes, there is a long history of churches splitting over a myriad of differing opinions - same sex marriage just being the latest on the list.

There is no requirement for a church to marry any couple.
The requirement is for a clerk to issue a license.

In my hometown a few year back, a Catholic church tried housing illegal aliens within the church itself. After losing 80% of their tithing's, they rethought their position.
