I thought preachers are supposed to be anti-gay. Bible stands against of homosexual relationships and it is an integral part of our culture. That pastor didn't do anything wrong.

He preached his sermon, from his pulpit in a church. Don't like it then don't watch. Don't agree don't go to his church. Other than that, posting this just promotes it. Unless of course the underlying theme is to prohibit this and call it hate speech aka hate crime.

No, the underlying theme is present the bigots for who they are.

We don't have to prohibit their speech to still shine a light on it.
Thanks from tristanrobin, RNG and catus felis

And I have to agree. The bible DOES stand against homosexual relationships.

If you read the Bible the Westboro Baptist Church is closer in line with what the bible says then some denomination that allows gay clergy and officiates at same sex weddings.
Thanks from RNG

How is he a bigot? He is at his Church, from his pulpit preaching to people who agree with him. If he was standing in the middle of a public mall then ok you might have a valid bigot claim. Same sex marriage and the state getting even more power to decide who can marry is here to stay. Name calling and attempting to "silence" different opinions is only making things worse. Tolerance is a two way street.

It doesn't matter where you express views that are bigoted, you are still a bigot.

Do you think a KKK member stops being a bigot if he only expresses his views at a Klan rally?

I have to agree w/ you. It's his pulpit preaching to his cult. If those sheeple choose to spend their Sunday being brainwashed by this flavor of insanity that is their choice but my tax dollars shouldn't be used to fund it. Just because this form of hatred is being masqueraded as religion doesn't change the fact that by definition it is bigotry and IMO those attending are bigots if not by just association alone. It's jackwagons like these and their rhetoric that makes it hard to take the religious seriously much less respect them.

Well, seemingly, Ben Bailey did forget to mention the section of the Bible where Jesus said something of the effect that those who are without sin may cast the first stone.

But, I guess Ben Bailey doesn't really care too much about what Jesus had supposedly preached.

Hey dude, murder and/or assault & battery whether with an AR-15 or a fucking rock is against the law. It does not matter what the Bible or some nut-job of a preacher says.

Well the bible does say "if a man lay with another man as if he were a woman, they shall be stoned".

And that is why it is so important to followup on the Supreme Court decision legalizing same sex marriage, with the legalization of marijuana, cuz the bible says.....
Thanks from catus felis
