if Baptist hated homosexuals they would not try to tell them how to get into heaven and spend eternity with them.

you may not agree with the Doctrine of Christ, that is okay but you are clueless of people of faith.

Well, let's not get crazy here. MOST of us on here can read, and even a few of us can comprehend what we read......
Thanks from LongWinded

In LWs defense, I have heard it said by SOME evangelicals (NOT ALL of them), "Love the sinner but hate the sin." I have wrestled with this alleged dichotomy for many years, and have come to the conclusion that it is a poorly masked illusion. It is not emotionally possible to love another person with the love Christ requires, and still hate their identity. It falls in with the illusion that a person can serve two masters.

No matter what quasi-religious platitude you throw at it, hatred of a person's identity absolutely will spill over into hatred of the individual himself or herself. It can't be avoided. To pretend otherwise is to be spiritually and socially dishonest. If a "born again" Christian is going to love a homosexual, he or she must love them the way they are, not love them in the hope of changing them into something they do not want to be.

LW, you can brand this as "proof" of my "conservative" POV if you want to, but it remains where I stand. In terms of how another person should be treated, I agree with you.
Thanks from tristanrobin and LongWinded

Making note of this, too.
