or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

If it goes against their religious beliefs yes! Why is Free only free if left leaners agree with it? They can now marry, and get spousal rights, that is what the fight was supposed to be about.

Their is nothing in the Bible calling black a sin, they would have no legal leg to stand on!

I don't know any "left leaners" that believe discrimination is acceptable.

Now, I do believe that retribution for discrimination is acceptable.

But, no, not the original discrimination.

These pathetic arguments in favor of the "right" to discriminate against gay people remind me of the line from Jesus Christ Superstar. He sings, "I'm amazed that men like you, can be so shallow, thick and slow."
Thanks from Lyzza

You believe in discriminating against Christians exercising their free right thereof.

What kind of retribution would be acceptable for what you alone deem is discrimination and does it apply equally or just toward people who disagree with you? I think I know the answer to that one.

Jesus Christ Superstar, is where you get your religious belief that being Homosexual, is acceptable to God?

Do you not understand that, so far as American civil and criminal law is concerned, what you happen to believe that God finds acceptable or not acceptable is completely irrelevant?
If what you call "exercising your religious beliefs" runs counter to American law then you will pay the legal consequences.
The United States is NOT a theocracy. Period.
What don't you understand about that? It's not complicated.

Show me where the constitution was changed to mean anything but free exercise thereof.
Thanks from Jimmyb

LOL...show me anything in my comment that is not true and accurate,
You address NOTHING in my post.

You ARE free to "freely exercise your religion" , right up to the point where you violate the laws of the United States. Choke on it

What an arrogant, judgmental man you are--speaking for God?? We are all God's children. We have all been commanded to love our neighbor---our gay neighbor, our black neighbor, the homeless neighbor--the Muslim neighbor--the immigrant neighbor--

You do not get to speak for God. To quote Dolly Parton: Get down off the cross, honey. Someone else needs the wood.

You personally don't have to "understand" their life style or their choices on who to love or have sex with, anymore than you have to "understand" swingers, open marriages or polygamy. You have shown the issue clearly here. YOU don't understand the attraction !!! You don't understand the SEX. As a result you can't comprehend that they have the EXACT SAME THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS about their partners that you have about your wife.

What I STILL don't understand is your obsession with gays ???? Why does it matter to you ???
Of course your telling us to agree. This went to the SC. The Supreme Court told us that only their opinion was valid. The states, and the people had no opinion. And yet here you are telling us we should agree. I could give a rats-ass about their lifestyle but, don't tell me I have to agree with something I don't agree with.
Thanks from Jimmyb

What on earth does your comments have to do with the post you are, in theory at least, responding to?

“All of us should have rose up to speak against gay people seeing themselves as normal people.”
That is the issue. That was the opinion of the person making the statement. They have a right to their opinion. I may, or may not agree. But don't tell me I must agree. I firmly believe this was a state issue, not a Constitutional issue.
