Boat rides on Lake Michigan, Navy Pier, Lincoln Park Zoo........just great stuff. We attended the broadway shows--went to Rush Street....fantastic bars and restaurants.
Well, that was nostalgic. We haven't been to Chicago in decades but I will always remember it as a fantastic place.
It still is a fantastic place, but as the cities demographics have changed it has definitely become less than it was.

Because one needs to know whom presents a greater potential danger, isn't that obvious, Mr. PC?

Well, it would be completely illogical to feign surprise that in a city of 2,7 million people it would be particularly unusual for an individual "to fight back."
Someone saying that would be acting purposely illogical & irrational.
Now, I don't know EXACTLY what sort of mental/emotional disorder would cause a person to knowing act irrational, not being trained in the metal health field. That's why I said "something is wrong with you", as I do not know the exact diagnoses.

Happy now?

Dude, how do you work up the courage to crawl out from under your bed each morning?

So, in every police/media report of a violent crime the race of the perpetrator(s) should be mentioned specifically so you can figure out which race might pose a "potential danger?"

That used to be a common practice in all news reports; or can't you remember that far back?

Police reports are often used to provide a description of a suspect. So yeah, knowing what color the person you are looking for is helpful.

I have very fond memories of Chicago. Ride the train to get there and then the train rode on elevated rails and stopped on the second floor of the train station. A short walk to the old Maryland Hotel that was inexpensive and talk to the elevator operator who would bring us bottles of whiskey and women for a reasonable price when we were only 18 years old.

Chicago is really not all different from other large American cities. There are some good areas of it, and there are some areas that are not. Every large American city could say the same thing about itself honestly.
