Do not write the IRS a check for any ACA fine. Research it
That's what they're doing. Call it a fine, penalty, fee, tax whatever, it amounts to the same thing to me.

you do realize that you can fix your income so you do not get a refund, right?

A company I worked for years ago sent me a check for 85K as a lump sum retirement settlement. It would have been nice if they sent it in 2 or 3 checks in different years.

It is a shame. You could have paid estimated income tax on that instead of the company withholding income tax.

This was just a one time deal. In future years I'll be pretty much under the radar.

The point of my earlier comment is that one would think it out of character that the left mandates large handouts of money to large insurance companies at the expense of the working class.......unless, like me you understand that both parties talk out both sides of their mouths to hide their real agendas.

It's not really about health, it's about control.
Thanks from Sabcat

Then who's worse ?? The people that fucked it up, or the ones that sit on the sidelines and refuse to even try to fix it ???

The worst are always the ones in power at the present moment.

Mandatory health insurance is just another step toward health care for all able bodied people. The ACA is step forward, but a bizarre way of paying weird homage to gross filthy capitalism. Then again all capitalism is gross and filthy. But, it is shaping people to finally embrace a collective society where everyone will have their basic needs filled free from the burden of choices.

Neither. The ones who attempt to coerce people into making choices. A true collective society would be devoid of the burden of individual choice. Health care, safety, housing, food would all be provided. It will be the ultimate in freedom
