Dallas and the rifle

For all the assault gun banners out there this one is for you!

Quote:
However, the rifle used by the suspect in the Dallas murders wasn’t an AR-15 variant rifle as many people originally thought. No, in fact the gun used was a 70+ year old relic that would not meet the definition of an “assault weapon” under most state laws. CBS News is reporting that the firearm used was an SKS rifle.

Unlike the Sig Sauer MCX rifle used in the Orlando terror attacks, which had similar features, controls and magazine to AR-15 style rifles, the SKS rifle used in Dallas couldn’t be more different.

The rifle has a non removeable 10 round magazine and uses a heavy, traditional wood stock. None of the features that states such as California, Massachusetts, and New York use to classify so called “assault weapons” such as a pistol grip, forward vertical grip, removable magazine or other cosmetic features. According to the Wikipedia article on the firearm:

I doubt any anti-American gun hater knows what this means or how slow and cumbersome this type of clip is:

If it was a 70 year old relic it lends more to the argument of banning the public from obtaining military grade weapons. If it was a modern warfare weapon, one could argue more lives would of bean lost.

But that would mean modern military style guns would be good for hunting if they are capable of being used as a sniper weapon (sitting in a tree stand and shooting deer from an elevated position, aka sniper)

Less lives would have been lost if the man wouldn't haven't done this in the first place.

Out of 162 calibers, the gun that was used ranks 14th to the bottom for power and 3rd from the bottom in velocity.

This is just more evidence that we need to ban all fire arms from use by the private sector

Holy shit I own one of those !! Uses good old 7.62 x 39 ammo. Pain in the ass to load. the spring that pushes the rounds up in the mag tend to wear out. It is still semi automatic. Mine has a small scope. I'd of used a much more modern rifle over that antique. Even plain old large caliber hunting rifle like 30-06 would be a better choice. He must have been one hell of a shot depending on how far away he was.
Thanks from Sabcat and coke

Read the comments below the video. He hit 3/10 in the video. That is with open sights at 500 yards.
