This can be controversial, differences in opinion as to what exactly constitutes "arms" and what constitutes "bear arms."
To bear arms one wears a short sleeve shirt.

I think the main purpose of gun rights is the ability to defend ourselves from our rulers.

LOL..Uh,yeah, they are concentrated in densely populated urban areas.
You know, where people actually live. 'cause you know, it's people that commit murders.

I didn't even have to read the linked article.

Is this 'real' or just the sort of thing that TV shows like to make out? Sometimes I think I must be living in a parallel universe (its pretty nice though)

I've never owned a revolver, only semi-automatics.
First during watch change I had to pull the clip or magazine out of my .45 semi-auto and then pull the slide back and forth to eject a forgotten bullet and point it at the overhead and pull the trigger. I never forgot to look through the barrel to know the chamber is clear and pull the slide back and forth to eject a forgotten bullet before pulling the trigger but some forgot and there could be a live round in the chamber, bang and the overhead of the watch station had more than a few dings by the .45 ACP. Stupid people should not be allowed to handle a gun let alone own one.

Oh, I quite agree, stupid and careless people should be kept as far away from such weapons as possible.
