australias gun buy back was all semi automatic rifles, no handguns. and it became clear during the process that they were guns people didnt want and didnt use anyway, it was largely a waste of time. rates of violent crime and suicide vary hugely depending on how data is collected, how states record and define events. which means you can find evidence that crime rates and suicide have dropped, and have gone up, and have not changed, depending on whose report you read.

the figures are in general, for most western countries, homicide rate is 1.5 per 100 000 per year. this fluctuates a bit but its about that level. suicide rates are rising in young people everywhere, to varying degrees. violent crime rates tend to be rising but this is probably attributable to improvements in reporting.

which means the gun buy back hasnt really done much. but then, it was a 6 month program, decades ago, it was cheap, narrow in scope, and badly planned. we shouldn't expect it to have done much.

its Adelaide, for the record.

and the roo issue depends on where you are. in some places the greys are in plague numbers. in a lot of places you wouldnt shoot a red because you hardly ever see one. but mostly we shoot introduced animals, rabbits, goats, pigs, foxes.

semi automatic rifles are banned, but you can get access to it under specific circumstances. single shot shot guns are ok, anything that holds more than one round is banned. most hand guns are banned. most australians love our gun laws.

The argument, as Vox’s headline puts it, is “Australia confiscated 650,000 guns. Murders and suicides plummeted.”
It is read from me reality business from the security in Australia. This is what Jeb Bush and Kasich says in last republican Campaign but it does not work for choose 1 of 2 of those for supporters for republican party is were the Trump who whining Campaign and then election 2016. Is this reality from American Citizen to supports current president Before he were president ?! Now the Trump is under 4 of 10 of American Citizen supports. Now the Trump is under 40 percent supports from American Citizen.

if they said this, its untrue. the gun buy back had minimal effect on anything.

the gun laws are neither republican or democrat, nor right or left. they are american. and any presidential contender who openly and repeatedly affirms your right to bear arms is going to have the support of a big slice of america. democrats, are you listening?
