The make believe world of the threat to the Second.

I love these Goofy sights, The right says allow the mentally ill and felons to have guns , put on a silencer , allow selling little trick gadgets that will turn a semi auto into something that can shoot 600 rounds a minute. These Goofies think there is a real threat to the second with the ability to buy a tank legally with shells ,park it in your front yard, or maybe a machine gun for Christmas , maybe a loaded anti tank gun to put in your yard just in case your neighbours buys a tank also. Any type of field artillery of course is legal but somehow these Goofies think that there is a threat to the second. You just have to laugh at these poor minds being tooled 100% by the goofy right.

Their paranoia and fear levels are truly pathetic.

Most people who are killed by a gun in their own home, someone in their family owned it.

Read this full article at the link to get the full picture of the gun-nuts' glaring insanity. Here's a few excerpts.....

The Myth of the Good Guy With a Gun
The NRA is wrong: Owning a gun is far more likely to harm you than protect you.

Slate - MEDICAL EXAMINER
By Evan DeFilippis and Devin Hughes
JAN. 25 2015
(a few select excerpts)
A study from October 2013 analyzed data from 27 developed nations to examine the impact of firearm prevalence on the mortality rate. It found an extremely strong direct relationship between the number of firearms and firearm deaths. The paper concludes: “The current study debunks the widely quoted hypothesis that guns make a nation safer.” This finding is bolstered by several previous studies that have revealed a significant link between gun ownership and firearm-related deaths. This international comparison is especially harrowing for women and children, who die from gun violence in America at far higher rates than in other countries.

If we examine data from within the United States, the odds aren’t any better for gun owners. The most recent study examining the relationship between firearms and homicide rates on a state level, published last April, found a significant positive relationship between gun ownership and overall homicide levels. Using data from 1981–2010 and the best firearm ownership proxy to date, the study found that for every 1 percent increase in gun ownership, there was a 1.1 percent increase in the firearm homicide rate and a 0.7 percent increase in the total homicide rate. This was after controlling for factors such as poverty, unemployment, income inequality, alcohol consumption, and nonhomicide violent crime. Further, the firearm ownership rate had no statistically significant impact on nonfirearm homicides, meaning there was no detectable substitution effect. That is, in the absence of guns, would-be criminals are not switching to knives or some other weapons to carry out homicide. These results are supported by a host of previous studies that illustrate that guns increase the rate of homicides.

The evidence against firearm ownership becomes even stronger when suicides and accidents are included in the analysis—guns make both much more likely and more fatal. There can be nothing closer to a consensus in the gun debate than this point. Indeed, every single case-control study ever conducted in the United States has found that gun ownership is a strong risk factor for suicide, even after adjusting for aggregate-level measures of suicidality such as mental illness, alcoholism, poverty, and so on.

One might accept that firearms are dangerous and that they substantially elevate the risk of homicide, suicide, and fatal accidents, but still believe that policies regulating gun ownership are ineffective—criminals, after all, won’t follow them. However, another recent study from May of 2013 analyzed the impact of state firearm laws on firearm-related fatalities. It found that the most gun-restrictive states have significantly fewer firearm fatalities than the states with the least restrictive laws. The results are in line with previous academic studies tackling the same question. These findings are further supported by a case study examining the impact of a 2007 Missouri decision to repeal its permit-to-purchase handgun licensing law. The research concluded that the repeal was associated with a 16 percent increase in annual murder rates, indicating that state gun control laws have a significant impact on the homicide rate.

Moving from state-level analysis to the household or individual, the risks for gun owners become even more apparent. A recent meta-analysis of 16 studies examined the relationship between firearms and gun deaths. Gun ownership doubled the risk of homicide and tripled the risk of suicide. This research is bolstered by a national survey that found that a gun in the home was far more likely to be used to threaten a family member or intimate partner than to be used in self-defense.

FBI data reveal that about twice as many homicides result from arguments than from felonies, and gang violence is only a small contributor. In a careful study of the relationships between homicide victims and perpetrators, analyzing data from 1981–2010, Michael Siegel and his colleagues reveal that for every 1 percent increase in gun ownership, there is a 0.9 percent increase in nonstranger homicide. Although stranger homicide does increase slightly as gun ownership rises, the increase is not statistically significant. This indicates that there is no deterrence effect from firearm ownership and that a firearm significantly increases the owner’s chances of killing or being killed by somebody he or she knows.

The people of which you speak are those who follow the Dead Documents Diet. They are Scalia-ites. They delight in telling us what the framers thought--why they wrote what they wrote--what they believed--how they lived and what they want "we the people" to do now--220 years+ later. Stay with the good ol' dead constitution, said Scalia. "The only good constitution is a dead constitution."
Apparently Scalia and his followers held seances which allowed them to speak directly to the founders. This MUST be how they know FOR SURE what the founders believed.

The problem with a living Constitution in a word is that somebody has to decide how it grows and when it is that new rights are – you know — come forth.
AND so it goes. The 2nd Amendment stands. Americans can have new fangled killing machines--as many as they want--any time they want---with very few restrictions.
So let it be written. So let it be done. Scalia
Thanks from Hollywood

I don't mind the 2nd amendment, I do mind the idea that these redneck right wing bangers think that means it can't be regulated. You can buy a machine gun and bullets , a tank , artillery, and anything you want(that's legal) to shoot through it. That's ridiculous. It takes the brain dead to see that as being right thing to do or that's what the constitution means, or that these things are protected in the constitution , This goofy group will wave flags and jump up and down over the 2nd while they piss on the 1st amendment. They pick and choose what they want in the constitution or these dingbats redefine the constitution to fit their little hate world.

No one says mentally ill should be allowed to buy guns. What Obama's repealed order did was aimed primarily at older people who might not be able to do their finances but otherwise are fine. You cannot preempt peoples rights, capiche? Because that is what Obama's order did, it preempted peoples rights.

As for bump-stocks, they were approved during Obama's administration.

And who says felons should legally buy guns? What felons are you referring to?

The OP is also clueless about silencers as well.

The insanity in the OP also goes into tanks, field artillery. etc. LOL All the regressives nonsense one could ever want in few words.

You just have to laugh at these poor minds being tooled 100% by the goofy left, just look at the thanks to the OP.

I would love to see where I said that. I never said it wasn't regulated . I know you think you have to shoot me down but come on try something that has substance. That is simply lying and if that's your routine then why would I want to comment to you.

Your foolish OP has been responded to by me.

Tanks. Field artillery. Talk about "Goofies"! The goofy left.

BTW... You sound like a foreigner, and the way you write neighbors as "neighbours" says you weren't born here, and probably don't even live in America.

Buddy you have very little knowledge of this subject, Tell me I can't buy a machine gun with shells and use it in my back yard/ Or artillery
Felons owning guns= some State could give back guns to serious felonies as soon as they were out of jail. Some hate run states could drop the law on a serious felon anytime they wanted and hate run states would do it yesterday, because that's their bang bang voters

Approved by Obama ya you bet, the bump stock is not a mechanical device so it can't be regulated as part of the gun law. From politifacts""But did Obama approve their legality? Sort of, but approved is probably the wrong word." A bump stock has no mechanical mechanism that actually pulls the trigger , it makes the finger pull the trigger as fast as a machine gun. No one , under the existing law could write a law against it.
Silencer law= the hate party as we speak is going to pass a law that allows silencers. I would love to hear what these are needed for , other then the obvious. Isn't it amazing how much bullshit or distortions these clowns use or try to use to sell their bullshit. I've always said without lies and distortions the conservative party of 2017 wouldn't or couldn't exist
Thanks from Clara007
