Why not arm teachers?

Almost every mass shooting in the US occurs in a “gun free zone “. We know from interviews with surviving shooters they look for such a targets. So if a whacked out kid decides life is meaningless and wants to go out leaving a pile of dead bodies it seems obvious that the one thing that might deter him from walking from one classroom to the next is not knowing which teacher is going to shoot him.

So does anybody have any logical reason why allowing school teachers the option of exercising their 2nd ammendment rights would be bad?

Bullshit to that, "we know from interviews with surviving shooters they look for such targets." Prove it, provide some sort of evidence.

I think it is a great idea to arm a few teachers who are willing to be such, and have armed guards as well. A few well publicized incidents where little Johnny gets his ass shot would go a long way toward stopping this insanity.

Seeing how teachers would have to carry concealed, how will the shooter know who is armed?

I asked for evidence of the veracity of the statement in the post and nothing else.

What civilized country has the greatest number of deaths by guns?

The US

What civilized country has the greatest per capita of guns?

The US

So let me make sure I understand your logic.

You want REDUCE the number of people killed by guns by introducing MORE guns?
Thanks from skews13, Camelot and Lyzza

@Webguy

The Security company I used to work for had a number of employees certified to carry a handgun on the job, and did such in many events (quite a few guards were off-duty cops, ex-military, etc.). However, for School detail, even though our company was contracted to do Middle Schools, High Schools, ect., guards were required to be unarmed for those shifts due to School policy--then, a lot of High Schools already have unarmed Security. All that would be required is to allow such certified guards to have the same standard as elsewhere. Of course, the issue then becomes; do we trust the authority figures with the lethal weapons?

What should we do with all of those people, give them three hots and a flop. Those people are slackers, pardon my French.
