Lots of presidents were not shot and lots of school kids were. How is this apples and oranges?

Why doesn't that being a gun free zone make it a magnet for crazies?

Lots of Presidents weren't shot and lots of school children weren't shot either. With all the crazy Democratic Leftists out there being stirred up by Hollywood idiots, and the main stream media, there is a good chance some misguided media inspired assassin will try to save our Country from ruin at the hands of the Republican Administration. It's called taking precautions. And whose to say that the Secret Service doesn't have some knowledge that we don't concerning an attempt on the Vice President's life.

So why doesn't the same rational work in other places?

The reason is that it's different if there is an R attached.

Because you guys are not just snowflakes, you're special snowflakes.

Sometimes there's just NO POINT in presenting a new thread--a new topic here. I mean...really....the opposing side doesn't even GET the point(s). This is no fun. )-:

There are so many arguments to be made here, but such a waste of wireless internet ...since those on the R are incredibly clueless.

Let's try this: The NRA ALWAYS bans guns at conventions. Which means they KNOW that more guns increase DANGER, not safety.
Thanks from skews13, RNG and Lyzza

Well there are currently about 50 million k-12 students in the US now and there have been what 45 US Presidents so...you do the maths but it looks to me that your odds of getting shot as POTUS are much higher than being a student. I dunno i could be wrong.

Only because you need it to be to justify your hypocrisy.

The NRA (and their lapdogs in the GOP) have continually pushed the idea that banning guns makes people less safe because all it takes “to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun”.

If that is true then they should WANT everyone at this event to be packing. That way if some “leftist nut job” shows up to shoot a bunch of NRA members then he/she could be stopped. But the Secret Service says no. Why?
Thanks from Lyzza and Clara007

Because the secret service is controlling the environment. Their job is to literally be on the lookout for, identify and neutralize threats. That is why they are there. But you know this. So do the NRA members who will be attending that that is why you do not hear them complaining. just silly leftists like yourself.
Thanks from Jimmyb

Does the NRA usually need armed law enforcement present at their conventions?

Why isn't it OK to ban guns in cities that have police forces?
