When I was a kid in school you could order a gun by mail, where’s your controls then? School shootings were unknown in those days.

Guns haven’t changed.
Changing conditions require a change in laws.

You guys are loons. Illogical, nonsensical loons. Oh, the shootings are because of violent movies...debunked. Oh the shootings are because of violent movies and TV....debunked. Oh, it's because NOT EVERYBODY CARRIES A GUN.

How fucking crazy are you dullards, anyway?

Schoolteachers are not bodyguards - and should not be expected (or even trusted) to be guardians of the lifeblood of our children.
Well, that is the first lesson of many that the state does not have your best interest in mind. At least they are learning something in school, right?

What was the divorce % ? How many of your schoolmates were being raised by single mothers? Being supported by the state? Placed on mind control drugs?

Up to date background checks might've helped, but might not have helped at all. As long as nuts have easy access to guns the crux of the problem still remains.

I'd do the following: I'd outlaw all military grade firearms to the general population: assault rifles, high powered military sniper rifles (although I've not heard of them being used in any of the massacres they are extremely dangerous weapons for assassinations), etc. Bump stocks, full auto should both be banned.

I'd implement extensive background checks, both mental and criminal, with a mandatory 7 day wait period. Any violent conviction or extended "mental episode" would result in suspension/termination of gun ownership rights, period.

No weapons sold to out of state people (no firearms deals across state lines), at least until we get a national database of firearms up to date and functional across state lines, like the NCIC (National Crime Information Computer). Currently we have 50 states loosely, if at all, working together.

Lastly I'd require firearms training and certification in order to legally carry firearms.

I don't have a problem with sane, law abiding people owning guns. Buy yourself a dozen if you want. My problem is the incredible irresponsibility of the GOP and NRA in making the gun laws so loose that irresponsible jackasses and nuts have easy access. Then, when the inevitable happens and the nuts kill a dozen kids the GOP throws every lame excuse in the book out there. "violent movies and games" which has been debunked nearly forever, for example. The Japanese and Koreans LOVE violent movies and games even more than Americans. But hardly any murders in those countries compared to the USA...hmmmm. Whats the major difference? Oh yeah, strict gun control laws. They don't sell guns to nuts or criminals over there....
I would never give information about what I may or may not own. If the liberal left have their way, we may not have any guns. Be careful about what you post... just sayin.
People have been killing people for as long as they've been walking the planet. Crazy or not. And they find the tools no matter what. IMO, the parents need to pay attention! to what the hell is going on with their kids, and be parents! It's a hard freaking job, but hey, it may save a few lives, including their own.

I wouldn't mind giving up my guns if the law required it. I'm not scared of the government like the paranoids. My guns are all legally registered anyway, and quite boring to the Feds. As for the criminals they tend to avoid guys like me. Single, angry looking, talking to himself at the supermarket about killing someone...ANYONE..then laughing maniacally.

They'd probably end up in my crockpot.

Sound advice though, and appreciated.
