My dog died last night. 14 year old bichon frise. My biggest comfort through the loss of so many is gone. She had been acting restless , we were going to take her back to vet in the morning. She had a seizure and collapsed.

The one who comforted me through multiple losses is not here and her loss brings back memories of all the others.
I've been hallucinating my dog today. I'm imagining I see her in places where she never would be.
Thanks from Twisted Sister

When look in the mirror at myself , I look a bit older than I'd like.

When I see pictures or videos of myself, I look ancient.

My wife is upset with herself because she grieves the death of the dog more than the loss of her mother. Part of the difference is that her mother had Alzheimer's and the mother she used to know had been gone a long time.

I deeply feel your sorrow but shit happens. Buy a pup that outlives you and name it Hamburger, half Wolf and half German Sheppard.

A couple of uncomfortable experiences this morning at the gym. Near the end of my working out, I had just gotten off a stair climbing machine and found myself walking past this gorgeous athletic woman, maybe 30, just a hair shy of being a Wonder Woman lookalike with sparkling blue eyes. To keep from gawking I closed my eyes. Before I could pass her, she spoke to me in a brite friendly voice and said , "wake up!". Completely busted, I smiled and moved on.

Later, I the locker room, I stripped down to my shorts and grabbed my towel and shampoo bottle and headed to the shower. I walked a bit farther than necessary down the hall so I could catch a glimpse of my self in the mirror to guage my lack of progress in working off the belly on my 62 year old body. I glanced around to make sure no one was watching me checking myself out. I did a double take when my eyes caught a cute twenty something brunette girl in yellow shorts and t shirt, with long hair in a pony tail. She had stepped inside the locker room door to access the electric breaker box. She apparently flipped the switch she wanted and stepped back out without looking around. Even when young I was never very attractive and have long accepted females don't have much interest in checking me out, but I don't like being so directly reminded of it.

I have one mutant eyelash on my left eye that grows rapidly. Nearly once a month it needs trimming or it rubs against reading or sun glasses. But I usually can't see it myself, gives my wife a job.
