You are exactly right. The state isn't going to betray it's corporate masters. We truly live in a corporatocrisy. We have achieved the complete meddling of big government and big business. Not that it mattered much, but the final nail in the coffin was the citizen united ruling. There is a channel on XM/Sirius radio that runs all of the old weekly radio programs from the 30's to the early 60's. In one of them there is a scene where the senate is debating a bill. The senators represented CORPORATIONS not states. That was from 1957. Every time I hear that program all I can do is think how prophetic !!!

Personally I think all elected officials should have to wear NASCAR style suits listing their sponsors errrr I mean campaign donors. I thought this was brilliant.

Politicians May Have to Wear Donor Logos in California | US News

God forbid the average person have access to what is literally a weed that can grow almost anywhere. Can't tax it, can't regulate it, can't patent it, can't put it under corporate ownership.
