How can one have meaningful and productive dialog with people that apparently barely understand English or such basic concepts as sovereignty?

And we are supposed to discuss with them such complex issues as national health care? WTF?
Who knew healthcare was so complicated?

I still just about puke every time I hear, or am reminded of that statement.
Thanks from Hollywood

If some people would have been educated on the subject of civics, they would have learned that we have a "Federalist"/ "Representative Republic" system...The purpose of the "federal" government is to provide for the national security, instead of the "States"doing that...to be a mediator between the "States", to provide a common coinage and several other "enumerated" obligations....But none of them say that the Federal Government is to be supplying health care for the citizens... If the individual "States" want to do that....Fine!!

What they do in England and Canada is irrelevant to us....We have our own Constitution...they have theirs....

It appears to me that in very, very many instances your SCOTUS has disagreed with you.

It people were actually educated the Democratic Party would not exist and the Republican Party would be forced to adhere to their platform or not exist.

Debate the decisions? For crying out loud, you too think you know the constitution better than the SCOTUS justices. That is degree of hubris has to expressed in Jimmy scale units.

Let's try healthcare, marriage, civil rights just for a start.

Gee, an administrator that wants more money for his organization. Wow. It must be a scandal.

Compare the number of medical cost induced bankruptcies in the US to the number in the UK or Canada.

Compare life expectancies, even with our indigenous peoples pulling ours down.

Then go cherry-pick some more quotes from disgruntled people since it seems to give you such warm fuzzies.

First of all...the SCOTUS has been overturned for bad decisions before....Dred Scott??? for one..

Next, where is healthcare mentioned in our Constitution??

What you leftroids do not, or stubbornly refuse to understand is that our Constitution is a compact among the States, not the citizens....that is what is meant by "Federalism"
Thanks from Sabcat
