Bernie Sanders has it right. Again. This gives Mitch over a week to buy some more votes with Koch brothers money, and get them some face time with the orange assclown.

According to the BBC, McConnell is having some of the holdouts out for supper, and Trump called all the Senators to the WH for a chat this aft.

McConnell said that if they don't get a passing vote, they're going to have to "just fix Obamacare" ... in other words, the repeal of Obamacare is not really necessary, it's just a political ploy to negate the importance of what President Obama achieved.

It's more GOP petty, childish, and harmful to America venomous action.
Thanks from Camelot

But....GOOD NEWS. If all else fails, TRY BRIBERY. YEP and this is just a miracle.
McConnell and his merry band of men have found some spare change in the bottom of their pockets. $188 million---EUREKA!! "Republicans in the White House and in Congress were pleasantly surprised that the bill included more savings than they expected — and are trying to figure out if they can dole it out for votes." McConnell is going from senator to senator to sweeten the deal. A little bit here for opiate addiction--a little bit there for some additional Medicaid....all for a good cause.
Some senators backing the deal have written off Rand Paul, but "Say … what if the government was to buy a lot of coal. A lot of coal. From Kentucky, of course, because that's the best, and just pile it up somewhere in … hmm, a brand new storage facility in Nevada? A strategic coal reserve against the day when we might need to load up a lot of trains with a product no one needs."

In other news....Jason Chaffetz declares, "HOLA! Stingy Americans! How about a raise for congress? We're doing such an awesome job here in D.C. (approval rating all the way UP to 20%) and SHUCKS--housing is sooo expensive and BOOHOO--we haven't had a raise in years. "Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said Monday that a monthly housing stipend would help House and Senate members afford two rents or mortgages while serving in the Capitol." $2500 a month would be lovely--for each of us...don't you think?? I mean...after all....our senators only get paid $174,000/annualy and they DO work a grueling 133 days a year. Oh, and don't forget the health insurance and pensions. Public service is a tough life. Come on, voters! Have a heart. ❤️

There is much I don't like about this bill. A great deal more time must be used to correct its failures. I agree with Trump, maybe it's better to allow the ACA to crash and burn. Let the Democrats explain the failures to their constituents in 2018.

I disagree. This bill gets rid of the mandate. It is what is so utterly un-American. Making people forced to purchase insurance is at the heart of obamacare. Pass this law and the individual mandate is dead. get it done. Republicans would also be blamed when obamacare goes belly up.

No, the ACA is a failure. No amount of fixing is going to save that piece of Obimbo-corruption. It must be done away with. Allow the free-market to do its job. Both Democrat and Republican bills are designed to keep the government in charge of what should be a state issue.
