Rick Santorum on the Healthcare Bill

I have never been a fan of this guy but if this is actually what this bill is it sounds a hundred times better than what we currently have. In fact it sounds better than any proposal that i have heard. That being said i would assume that it would in reality just be another government lie.

If reducing the number of Americans with health care is your goal, that plan is great, big boost for fans of untreated disease.
Maybe it would be better if the government supplied begging bowls to give America that "third world" feel.

If Rick Santorum is describing it, it's a lie - it's distortion, it's deceitful, and it will harm the most people possible.

He is the very scum of the bottom of the pond.

Santorum is an idiot. This bill would make insurance unaffordable for the 40% of us with pre-existing conditions. It places caps on insurance again leading to medical bankruptcy. It punishes states that expanded Medicaid by transferring the money to states that didn't expand Medicaid. It ends the individual mandate returning us to the past when the uninsured clogged our ER's and the insured were mandated to pick up their costs. They held no hearings with those that understand our medical system. They tried to pass it without a CBO score in an act of deception. They wish to use the savings a on tax cuts for the rich. They had 7 years to come up with a comprehensive plan. Turns out they were against the ACA because of that Kenyan Obama. That is why they have control of the W.H., Senate and the House and still can't get shit done. We told you so morons.
Thanks from RNG and Clara007

AND here's the mystery. Why is Santorum involved at all? Is he currently serving in congress? NOPE. Is he governing anywhere? Nope. But suddenly he's headlining again with the Gang of Five, included as one of the architects of the newest "I HATE Obama" Healthcare bill.
So, here's what happened. AS NPR reported, Santorum got a haircut and revived the GOP repeal. He ran into Graham at a D.C. barbershop and said "HEY--how about this, pal?" Rick is obsessed ( and has been for a decade or more) with the idea of block grant approach....which he authored in 1996.
RED FLAG.
Once again, the GOP delights in NOT MOVING FORWARD but zipping into the anals of history for their fix. Typical.
Santorum wants a per capita Medicare/caid funding rather than a fixed amount to states like Cali, Maine and New York. We can only imagine how vehemently those states OPPOSE this new fix. AND as always, Ricky and the Boys want the states to control everything including healthcare.
States like Arizona can't control/govern anything. Our part-time, underpaid lawmakers are dumb as a vase of Begonias, haven't read the bill---or seen the bill--and that includes our governor so exactly HOW is that going to benefit our families?? Arizona will lose millions in Medicaid dollars.
NO thanks, Rick. Stay out of D.C.
Thanks from Camelot

Millions of Americans have access to health care that was not available to them pre ACA.

Were you unaware of that?

Nonsense, we now have the lowest uninsured rate in the history of the country. Only a fool, both ethical and fiscal, would think that showing up in an emergency room with a disease that has progressed out of control is preferable to preventative care.
Thanks from RNG
