He's wrong. Plain and simple.

There are still no private doctors in Quebec offering services covered by our healthcare, or if they are, they are under contract to the government and are paid the same as doctors working in the system.

As I said, elective plastic surgery and a few other elective procedures are not included here.

And he still hasn't read my link so he is still totally misinterpreting the decision.
Thanks from Hollywood

And that is why Canadians Come to the US when the NHS says Procedure Denied.

When people need saving, the US Healthcare system is where they come.

Here's what DOES happen in a free market: people get sick and die of untreated medical conditions because they(even under Obamacare) have NO health insurance! Same as free market bullshit gives you growing homeless populations in most US cities today!

I haven't noticed the other Canadian here declaring that he's gone to the US for medical care...so that means 100% of Canadian members of the DTT community don't need overpriced US medical services!

*since you do such thorough research, haven't you read yet that NHS is England's healthcare system?
Thanks from Hollywood

"Need SAVING???" Or simply want what they want when they want it, just because?

Here are the FACTS !!! There are more UNINSURED Americans than there are citizens in in Canada !!!!!! The total population of Canada is 35 Million. The US has a population 330 million, 12% or 39 Million are NOT covered by any sort of insurance. So tell us, how many people, right here in this country, DIE because they lack basic health care ???
Thanks from right to left

Very few in most parts of Canada. The worst that happens is long wait times in the ACU...I wouldn't know personally, cause the last time I was in a hospital emergency room was almost 40 years ago.
Assuming that many Americans are healthy...like myself, and rarely ever need to go to a hospital or seek treatment for some kind of medical condition. BUT, at least up here there is a basic health insurance plan that everyone can be a member of..it doesn't cover everything btw...that's why those of us among the declining number who still have good jobs that pay benefits either need group insurance or have to pay out of pocket for some expenses...that I should mention are still much less than what my American relatives(mostly in Michigan) tell me they have to spend on their co-pays after insurance.

I would rather keep our medicare system...which I have to kick in about an extra $600 per year for coverage because of my income than end up with the expensive for-proft crap that's in the US! The only Canadians aggitating for a US-style system are corporate thieves who want to carve up our system the same way the vultures sponsoring the Conservative Party in England want to privatize their NHS.

Federal law says if you are an emergency hospitals HAVE to treat you, no matter your ability to pay.

If you're NOT an emergency and you can't pay, you will not get treatment at most privately owned hospitals.

I found an article where one hospital chain, HCA, had turned away more than 80,000 people. So I think the total number is likely substantial.
