This family (or their company at least) is a major financial backer in keeping weed illegal as if people have a natural option that they can produce on their own that is money out of their pockets. They are also a key backer in the push to schedule kratom.
How about holding some of these doctors responsible? Who's stupid enough to take the salesperson's word as irrefutable fact?

There are a lot of individual differences that go into addiction. You are either susceptible to it or you aren't. My father, my grandmother, my son and my brother are or were, I am not. Vicodin is no more helpful than advil for me but for my son it is decimating.

I know a few people who were in medical school in the 80s and 90s. They were basically told they couldn't over prescribe pain meds.

Now the fuckers running pill mills...? Should be treated the same as anyone else running a narcotic enterprise IMO
Thanks from Hollywood

It would still be produced. Think of ford when they hid the pinto issues or b8g tobacco after the lawsuits. They both continued to exist.

I feel no sympathy for people killing themselves through voluntarily abusing drugs. It's called "Darwinism". The weak and stupid are obligingly killing themselves, and we should thank them for it. On the other hand I feel if people want to use drugs, more power to them. But don't ask me to bail them out when they fuck up, it's part of responsibility for one's own actions.
I am sure you would say the same thing about AIDS too, right?
