The key facts in your statement are that they were legal immigrants, who integrated into American society, unlike many Mexicans and Muslims who live in isolated hoods and many times follow their own mores, and laws, ignoring ours.

According to the John Roberts court intent is everything. Otherwise Obama Care would be a sinking ship by now.
And the intent of the 14th Amendment was purely to confer citizenship on recently freed slaves...and nothing more.

In 1866, Senator Jacob Howard clearly spelled out the intent of the 14th Amendment by writing:
"Every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons. It settles the great question of citizenship and removes all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens of the United States. This has long been a great desideratum in the jurisprudence and legislation of this country."

Why don't you ask Obimbo, and this government in general. Ask yourself, who is benefiting! It sure as hell isn't the middle-class.

So we never had this issue before 2009?
It's Congress that writes the citizenship statutes, it's not an executive order thing.
What does Boehner say about this, it's been 5 years with him running the House, was he too busy repealing ObamaCare 60 times, that he had no time to get to a new citizenship statute?

What does the turtlehead say about this? Has the Senate been so busy figuring out how to shut down the government, that they haven't got to this issue yet?

I saw, and heard Carly Fiorina on FOX this morning telling the "talking head" that the possibility of altering the Anchor Baby issue was impossible therefor, we should embrace them as citizens? Needless to say, I will not be voting for her. Any candidate that does not recognize the intent of the 14th Amendment need not hold office. Any candidate that, by omission, supports breaking the law, should not hold office. The cultural demographic change to this country will eventually be our downfall. No country thrives with opposing cultures.
