The answer to that is not hard to figure out.
I don't suppose that the fact that dams and reservoirs are ecological disasters and usually flood the most productive lands has anything to do with it.

The solution is simple pay the workers more, and they'll pick all the damn strawberries you want, same for raspberries!

I agree, we should open up Bolder Dam and let the water flow down to the Mexican border, maybe more of those damn wetbacks will hesitate to get wet!

I would agree if you built some more nuke plants in geologically stable areas and transported the power to the Boulder grid.

CA already has too much power, I say cut those Liberal, we know what's best for the Country, ass hats off from the grid. Nuke power is bad for the environment especially in disaster prone areas. Yes CA is a disaster, and Illinois is a disaster too. We finally have a responsible Republican Gov. and he only won by the skin of his teeth despite winning all but too counties in the State. Yes the Democratic/Progressives in Cook county, along with Madigan continue to run Il into bankruptcy and they just don't give a damn.

An ecological disaster is rich farm land without water! An ecological disaster is building homes, factories, and shopping molls on the richest farming land in the world. An ecological disaster is NOT learning from the historical evidence and ignoring the outcome. But then, we in CA. have been living under a Liberal government for decades and the, not unforeseen consequences are coming to fruition. Along with the farming debacle, CA. cities are now forced to raise taxes and reduce services in order to pay for the hair-brained, butt-kissing retirement plans for State, and city employees the Unions demanded.

What if I told you that bringing negros and mestizos into the US to solve labor shortage is disastrous and will cause tax corruption, high crime rates, and destruction of civil culture. If you don't believe just look at all the race mixed nations like south America, and south Africa. In a white American society it is white American people that need to do the work and if there's no white American people then we need to raise and educate new white American children.
