Okay, that was funny.

But you have to admit, you could make just as an amusing one out of stuff conservatives say.

I don't agree. Conservatives make much more sense. Small govt, global warming is a fraud, raising taxes does not solve a spending problem, etc.

Oh come on! We all know that crippled, one-eyed, Mongolian, lettuce pickers have far more rights than middle-class white people.

Such right-wing made up bull to try to portray liberals is stupid. Last time I checked there's ACTUAL studies suggesting that people who lean liberal are have an higher IQ than people who lean conservative. And besides although they made that guy sound silly, a lot of what he said is right. How you fell if I posted actual video of silly sounding right-wingers?

Bah... talking points.

Plus, the vast majority of reputable scientists in the relevant fields agree -- global warming (or more accurately, climate change) is very real -- and a very real concern.

And please don't try to dispute me on that, I've met these people in person and talked with them at great lenght about the issue. These aren't "liberal" lobbiest, mind you, but scientists. Real, working scientists. I'll take their word over Rush Limbaugh's any day.
Thanks from Kate

As a former student of political science (minored in it in college -- gee ain't I cool) I would not call the Tea Party "Conservative."

Rather, they are reactionary right wing.

We had a rally here in my area. And even though it's one of the most conservative and solidly Republican states in the union, the rally didn't go over very well. Most of the audience had walked away within the first 45 minutes or so.

I was able to speak with some of the most prominent conservative/Repbulican leaders in my community in the days following -- and they were not impressed by what they had seen.

The tea party have been scientifically dying down because some figured out that they've been doped by corporate interest. However, these people are in fact what is known today as "conservatives" and continually sound like the obstructionist right-wing conservative party and conservative leaders in congress of today. So yes these people are conservative. I wish they would return to the Dwight Eisenhower conservative but that's not the case today. If you would walk up to these people and ask if they're right-wingers? The answer would be no, they're conservatives.

I can post a few isolated vidoes of some really stupid liberals also. I also heard about that article that claims conservatives are low in IQ and such. Those kinds of articles come out every year or so. They're always written by some university dweeb who neve held a real job in his life and has lived their entire existance off some Govt program from cradle to grave.

Th BS is flying. That doesn't mean it's okay to eat.

The left also tells us the Tea Party is racist, when the Democrat party are the ones who invented the KKK. I don't think anyone on the left wants to go there with me.

I think I've already gone there with you but never received a response. I told you today that because the Civil Rights Act being signed by LBJ, the democratic party lost the racist south forever and they found refuge in the republican party TODAY. We're not speaking of the pass we're speaking of TODAY. Also I've already proved to you the facts that people who gets "educated" by the conservative medias, are very misinformed. I've already got your thanks on that subject.

I've heard that tall tale often repeated these days. It's another lefty myth you swallowed. I was there. Who accomplished a record filibuster on the Civil Rights Act? Robert Byrd, Dem, former Grand Kleagle of the KKK.

The Democrat party moved leftward in 1972 with the nomination of McGovern. That's when they lost the south, not over the civil rights bill. Nixon barely won in 1968. The conservative Democrats in the south were not going to vote for a liberal like McGovern. Nothing to do with race.

I'm already a progressive. Republicans got the Civil Rights Bill passed in 1965 while Democrats filbustered and did all they could to prevent it. I lived through the history you're attempting to re-write.

False. When Lyndon Johnson was president and the republicans said NO, were not going to go along with civil rights, Johnson pretty said TOUGH. Strom Thurmond and the republicans (democrats in the south as well) tried to filler buster Civil Rights legislation and Johnson said tough. Bill Moyers tells the story of walking into Johnson's office with that historic piece of legislation and saying 'Mr. president, if you sign this, the democratic party will lose the south for a generation' and LBJ said 'I don't care I'm going to sign it, it's the right thing to do. I don't care what the political consequences are'. And the democratic party did lose the south and it's still largely gone to the democrats. LBJ's quote "I think we have just delivered the South to the Republican Party for a long time to come." After wards the republican party picked up those voter by what's known as the "Southern Strategy". This is common history Perkins and this video helps proves my point.

You're posting an argument in which I already addressed. The democratic party isn't the party TODAY that hold a lot of the racists. It's OBVIOUSLY the republican party today. You're giving me history, I'm giving you present. That's the point Perkins.

It does matter to me. "Conservative," and "liberal," in the old-school sense of those terms, is a far cry from the highly polarized far right or left-wing rhetoric sometimes thrown around today.

Be that as it may, history and current trends indicate the vast majority of Americans are in the practical "middle ground," so to speak.

This isn't what you and I were discussing. If you want to discussing that fine but first acknowledge what you and I were discussing about the fact that the republican party today have a problem racists in their party. They hold a large amount of racist members.
