Why did he even broach the subject??? C'mon, Goober...his intention was to oppose "the border isn't secure".

Is the border secure? Ask yourself that question...then look at what Reid's trying to tell you.

Hey, we should build more fences. It's not like you can huff and puff and blow them down;

Quote:
. Storms knock down border fence in Ariz.

TUCSON — An unusual amount of rain that ravaged parts of southern Arizona also knocked down 60 feet of the rebar-reinforced steel fence that divides the U.S. and Mexico.

The storms began Friday in Sonora, Mexico, and resumed Saturday night until Sunday morning, when debris from the Mexican side of the border traveled through a wash and piled up against the border fence. The fence, just west of the Nogales-Mariposa Port of Entry near Interstate 19, stood between 18 and 26 feet high and extended at least 7 feet underground.

Border agents were alerted not long after the wall fell.

If the border isn't secure, why doesn't Congress appropriate money to secure it?

The only ones bluffing our House Republicans. Look what their new Whip had to say about the a House plan. Notice how he says Obama should take unilateral action even though they want to sue him for doing that very thing. When will you quit allowing these House Republicans to use you as a naive TOOL ?

Quote:
. Steve Scalise unsure about GOP border plan

'The president can solve this problem today but he’s chosen not to,' Scalise says.

Incoming House Majority Whip Steve Scalise declined to say whether he supports the House Republican border-crisis proposal, and says President Barack Obama could solve the problem on his own.

“I’ve always said from the beginning, we need to pass a bill that solves the problem,” the Louisiana Republican told a clutch of reporters in the Capitol Thursday, when asked if House plan should be narrowly focused.

“The president can solve this problem today but he’s chosen not to,” Scalise, a Louisiana Republican, continued. “There’s a rule he can waive right now where a border agent can’t even go and track a busload of drug dealers crossing the border. The president won’t even change that. If he won’t change it, we ought to take the lead and do it ourselves.”

Scalise is not yet whip — he takes the job next Thursday, when California Rep. Kevin McCarthy becomes majority leader — but his apparent unease with the emerging plan could portend problems among conservatives.

House Republicans will meet Friday at 9 a.m. to discuss their plan, which was written primarily by Rep. Kay Granger (R-Texas). The meeting comes as House Republicans and Senate Democrats grow increasingly skeptical that they can send a bill to President Barack Obama before the August recess.

Re-read the post. TV was talking up the Republican plan. Their own Whip threw cold water on it and suggested that Obama should act on his own. Now there's leadership you can believe in......LOL
