Now, if that was Thatcher on that horse ISIS would be running for the hills. Her Majesty, at her age for sure, isn't that scary and was too much of a lady even then.

Islamic extremists have been the chief beneficiaries of USFP in the ME! Hussein, Mubarak, Gaddafi and Assad all did a far better job of containment than the US has done. US policies have created the power vacuums that the Islamic State has exploited. Either that is the design of USFP that transcends administrations or we've had decades of incompetence in DC, and I'm not sure which is worse, but certainly neither is good.

Having tanks and trucks and other mechanized equipment is one thing. The ability to maintanance it is quite another. They are slowly being reduced to a bunch of independent gangs on foot, with fewer weapons capabilities. And moral will slowly but surely degrade as time goes on with nothing that resembles competent leadership. People can say what they want, but Obama was right. They are a JV team of loosely nit criminals. Nothing more, nothing less. While they can continue murdering innocent people with no way to fight back, that's all they can do. Their area of operations has been from the north areas of the Anbar Province in Iraq to areas just across the border in Syria. That hasn't changed, and they can no longer move quickly anywhere in those areas in any appreciable numbers. The signs are already showing them to be isolated suicide mission operators for the last 6 months. The circle is closing in on them, and once the circle gets small enough, a very well planned coalition can kill them very quickly. The silence coming out of DC is deafening, and it isn't because they don't have anything in the works.

So, the Islamic State is in their last throws, lol.

The military industrial complex has found a way to profit from it?

Really? That's news to you?

So what you're saying is they're a growing military and economic power that will soon be competitive on the world stage, and we'll have an embassy for them in Washington soon?

Right.

No, it's not news to me. Ever since Ike warned of the dangers of the growing influence of the defense lobby in Washington, we've been involved in one gratuitous war after another, and the MIC he warned of is now too big to fail. As to the Islamic State, they're far from fizzling out.

Nor are they likely to be recognized by the US as legitimate. But like their predecessors, Al Qaeda, the Taliban, the Mujahideen, MLK, and so on, they are useful tools in the USFP handbag.

It's up to Muslims to fight ISIS, imo. We can help them, but it's their fight.
IS will fight to wars in Syria + Iraq is over!
