A Different View of the Iran Deal

Here is a very interesting analysis by Eric Margolis titled "HOW TO DEAL WITH THE IRANIAN GENII?".

A bit long but well worth the read IMO.

But that still isn't really related to the geopolitical points being made in the OP article.

An excellent opinion piece RING ( I decided to add the "I"). I must say though that I've spoken some of those points myself. I believe this is more about Israeli and Saudi influence with sanctions in place and not a nuclear issue.

* I agree that Israel sees Iran as the last serious source of Palestinian support in the Arabian Peninsula.

* I agree that Saudi Arabia sees Iran as a threat to their influence. Saudi Arabia does not wish to see 1 million additional barrels of oil hit the world market daily. Nor do they wish to see Iranian economic potential to be realized.

* I agree that the U.S. has favored Saudi Arabia for cheap access to oil.

* I agree that, if a final nuclear deal is not reached, it will fail because Iran has decided that it's not in their interests and not because of some tin foil hat fools in our Congress.

The 1979 Iranian Revolution gravely threatened this sweetheart arrangement. Iran demanded that its Arab neighbors follow Islam’s calls to share wealth, avoid ostentation, live modestly, and care for the needy – in short, the very opposite of the flamboyant Saudis and Gulf Arabs.

Iran set the example by funding extensive social programs and education. Of course, Iran’s challenge to share the wealth was anathema to the oil monarchs and their American patrons. By 1980, an undeclared conflict was underway across the Muslim world between the Saudis and Iran – one that still rages today as we see most recently in the expanding Yemen war.
And yet, we've been convinced by Zionists and neocons to be on SA's side.

But Tehran does not trust Washington to adhere to the pact. Grand Ayatollah Khamenei asserted last week there would be no deal unless sanctions against Iran were lifted “immediately.” To many Iranians it seemed clear that Washington had no intention of lifting key sanctions, only slowly lessening relatively unimportant ones.
Yep.

SA funded and staffed the 9/11 attacks, sponsors terrorism as much as the US and Iran, doesn't allow women to vote (though Iran does) has the ability (as the worlds fourth largest military spender) to deal with the Islamic State, and yet doesn't, as they must receive some benefit by its existence.

ISIS is Sunnis. The Wahhabi Saudis and ISIS are brothers in jihad against the infidel Shiites, the Iranians.

The irony of ironies is the US and Iran are on the same side regarding ISIS.
