I've lately started looking at the serial numbers on paper currency. Checking for sequences that would appeal to collectors. No luck so far.
Thanks from Twisted Sister

I once had a 1782 $20 Continental Currency note. It had printed on it Counterfeiters Death. On the back it had an oak leaf copied from a real oak leaf that counterfeiters supposedly could not counterfeit.

Look for a red star note. When a new bill gets damaged by the Mint, they destroy it and have to make a new one with the same serial number which has the red star.
