Why is Social Security even needed nor desired?

* The worker must ask permission from the government to be employed, since they must have a SSN to be employed. While to my knowledge, this has never occured, the government can deny someone a SSN, which means the person cannot legally work.

* Each person gets a government number. Why is it Ok for the government to number its citizens? This works as a tracking system for the citizen, the government can track your life.

* The American dollar has lost about 90% of its value since the end of World War II. The dollar my parents had to contribute in 1950 is worth about $10 today. Would it not be better to not have Social Security and let that money go into the economy?

* Or if we just have to have a nanny state where the government takes part of our salary, couldn't this money be put forward to a health insurance account? Instead of a pyramid scheme which it is now, the money would be collected to fund a National Health Insurance Corporative?

* Lastly, everyone gets a check when they reach a certain age. Everyone. Warren Buffet, one of the wealthiest men in the World, gets a Social Security check. So will Bill Gates in 2020 when he turns 65. The old fart who owns the New England Patriots gets a check. Donald Trump gets a check (or I think, since he is working). There should be a cutoff point to the people who already have over a certain amount that they shouldn't get a check since they do not need one. However, this isn't fair either, since Gates, Buffet, Trump, and the old fart who owns the New England Patriots paid into the system, but who says life is fair, and they wont miss the money.

I have never seen the upside to Social Security at all, and I wont be able to collect on it until either 2032 when I am 65 or 2037 when I am 70, if at all. The money stolen to fund this thing can again, be put into the local economy and/or fund a national health insurance fund. But the lemmings love being numbered, have their paycheck deducted against a devalued currency and not getting back what they put into the system when they need it.

What am I missing here?
