Put your belongings in your pickup truck, get the hell out of Illinois and never look back. Anyone who lives in Illinois is a glutton for punishment.

Illinois should lost its statehood status and be carved up with its border states.

Is it me, or would living in Illinois suck, like anywhere in the state? I would shudder at the prospect of having to live anywhere in Illinois no matter what my income or status would be. Probably Chicago would be a fun city to eat, drink and party in for a weekend, but who in the hell wants to live there? Forget the crime (which I think is overblown and happens in the "Hood"), talking about the winter weather of death. Even Oprah's money and luxury doesn't change that fact.

Illinois has been crooked for over a hundred years. Probably the last honest politician from that state nationally was Abraham Lincoln. Chicago has for at least a hundred years has taken official government thievery to a level that is above anything else in America and rivals Third World nations. How many recent governors have been in prison, three? Then the is Dennis Hastert, the former Speaker of the House. Why Illinois people do you elect crooks?

I think Chicago is more of the problem of the state and the city should secede from Illinois and become its own state. Unfortunately the American Constitution makes it nearly impossible to do this. The city is making decisions for the state. In elections, Hillary won Illinois because she won Chicago, the rest of the state wanted Trump. This isn't about the election, but the whole state gets tarnished for their own Sodom and Gommorah of the Arctic plain.

Illinois, where dreams go to die, and ripped off!

Football question.....

Why is the U. Of Illinois so mediocre in football? It's a large Midwestern state with a huge city on top. Doesn't really have any competition in state for athletes, have to be smart to go to Northwestern (I cheer for them if they do good in football, smart kids can be tough kids too!). Illinois should rank up there with Michigan and Ohio State. Indiana sucks because they have to compete with Purdue (not good, but great team name!) Notre Dame. But Illinois doesn't have good teams.

Sort of like Hawaii, who the hell wouldn't want to play for Hawaii? Hawaii or Alabama? Hawaii or Louisiana, Hawaii or Michigan, are you kidding me? But this is about Illinois.

Uh, if you go to school in and play for Hawaii you get to live in Hawaii.

CA. is having the same problem. Add to that the cost of subsidizing illegal aliens. Which is why a state with the 6th largest economy in the world is mired in debt.

It's all about money and how much of it you have and are willing to spend. It all starts with Coaching and Urban Meyer's do not come cheap.
