Pallone said he was pushing to get a copy of the most recent draft of the bill because he had heard Walden intends to have the committee vote on it next Wednesday — a timeline that wouldn't give the Democrats and the public much time to analyze the legislation.

He compared what the Republicans are doing this week with what the Democrats did with their draft of the Affordable Care Act several years ago; Democrats posted the text of the ACA online 30 days before it went to members for a vote.

And the bill was posted for *30 days* before the first committee held a vote on ACA.

"It's awful because we gave them so much notice [when ObamaCare was passed], 30 days before we had a markup or hearing, it was posted online," Pallone told reporters crammed into an elevator with him as he made his way to the Rayburn office building to visit Walden's office.

"The original House bill was posted online for 30 days before the first committee began their markup and more than 100 days before we introduced a merged bill that incorporated the work of three different committees."

Many Republicans also resurrected a favorite quote from the ACA fight — Pelosi, in a March 2010 speech to county legislators, ran through the benefits of the legislation and insisted that “we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.” At the time, the bill’s text had been public for weeks, along with a CBO score. That did not dispel the legend.

You want more?? Find it yourself.
No need. I found what I needed to. The fact was Harry Reid and the Democrats posted an outline, then amended the final bill behind closed doors with no access to and used parliamentary procedure to make it impossible to amend. The ACA was not posted 30 days prior to Congressional vote, and the quote from the article saying it was is a lie. Pure and simple.

You mean the SIX articles?? Just in case you are curious (although I'm sure you aren't), original ACA text is posted online (on several sites) in its entirety and DATED January 5, 2010.

But you just stick with your ignorance....even though it never serves you well.

You just can't say the economy crashed without stating the reasons why it crashed. Lets start with the Clinton initiatives. Isn't it more like, IN SPITE OF OBIMBO? In 8-years, what was the average GDP under Obimbo? What is it now?

Actually, there are more jobs in the renewable energy industry than in the fossil fuel industry despite the Republican roadblocks. You need to get out more and not depend on FOX talking points.

The formula is simple, when the after tax rate of return on investment is lower than the GDP growth rate, wealth becomes less concentrated, when the after tax return on investment is higher than the rate of GDP growth, wealth becomes more concentrated.

Those two lines crossed in 1930 and again in 1981, from 1930 to 1981 wealth became less concentrated, the rich got richer, but even though their slice of the pie was bigger, it was a smaller percentage of the pie, Reagan changed that, every year since, the rich own a greater percentage of the pie, the Middle Class less of the pie, although the size of the pie the middle class owns is about the same as it was when Reagan took office (no loss no gain), it's a smaller percentage.
Trump thinks that wealth isn't concentrated enough, he wants to speed up the process.

Which was not what was voted on. The actual bill was amended by Harry Reid, behind closed doors and rolled out and shoved through on Christmas Eve day. Thanks for playing, but repeating the same lie over and over does not make it less of a lie

Oh please, the Republicans didn't place their repeal efforts online, didn't hold hearings. There is no comparison.

So then why do you repeat the same lie?
Oh, I know, you don't know it's a lie, that would require a working filter....
