If we don't see the growth the annual deficit will be far more. If the economy slows even a little we'll see massive deficits and an explosive rise in the national debt.

At the current pace, Trump and the repubs are on track to add as much to the national debt as Obama and the repubs (for 6 years) did.
$150 billion annually, sounds pretty good considering the fact that Obama added $1,400 to the national debt in FY2016 alone.

That's 150 billion annually on top of what was already forecast.
And the FY 2016 deficit was 615 billion.
The record 1.4 trillion deficit belonged to W.

No. Why should we?

Oh what a bunch a baloney! We currently don't HAVE a stagnate economy--do we?? Big business (and small) is BOOMING. Profits have soared. The CEOs are rolling in dough, and we are growing billionaires like weeds, so don't talk to me about stagnation.
Government does not produce wealth--you are correct. It uses our taxes for things I happen to like: military, roads, schools.
But you've completely missed the point. Congratulations on your economics degree. Are you a bean counter??

You had 8 years of the slowest growth in the history of the country....the last 10 months have been in the right direction but, have not erased that..We can do better...like 5 or 6% growth levels..

So do I, if that is where the money goes to, but to often it is wasted or spent where it is not effective, or even having any business being spent there..

No Bean counter...I have a degree in Business Management...I started and ran business' in Hardwood Flooring, Drywall and Concrete...(all new home construction)...Now I am semi-retired and spend my time rehabbing distressed properties (old stone farmhouses are my favorite) and refinishing wood floors....If I quit working it would probably kill me...

I don't like those sporty cars. They look like mosquitos.

One or two of those nice SUV Crossovers would be nice and then .... hmmm...I think a 4 door sedan--mid-size--for more formal occasions like dinner at the country club.
