Close your bank account

If you have a bank account, I encourage you to get rid of it.

Banks are shit (and we probably won't be needing them for much longer, anyways, as cryptocurrencies taper in); the private central bank debt-based interest-bearing notes we carry in our wallets are shit - or maybe they should be toilet paper & that's why we carry them in our back pockets so close to our ass holes.

If you don't know how to use cryptocurrencies yet, I suggest you start learning. Society is constantly having to learn how to use new forms of technology, whether it's computers, the internet, gps navigation, smart phones, or bitcoin, we have to start somewhere; consider how at some point people transitioned from bartering to using a standardized method or medium of exchange (whether it was gold, silver, or something else) & how they went through an adoption process for that.

There are plenty of guides on how to do without a bank account; here are just a few examples of links to such guides:

https://www.thebalance.com/how-to-li...ccount-3861031

https://money.howstuffworks.com/pers...nk-account.htm

https://www.offthegridnews.com/finan...-bank-account/

https://www.bostonglobe.com/business...q7I/story.html

If you still want to be able to write checks, have direct deposit from your employer, etc., at least do me a favor and replace your bank account with a credit union account; will ya?
Thanks from Sabcat

@Neil

I do not agree. There are benefits to using (numerous) bank accounts such as sign-up bonus promotions, establishing history/relationship which leads to preferred access to credit cards, loans, etc. I do also have a credit union 'checking' and savings account with AMEX, and their corresponding Bluebird card.

I do not know much of anything about crypto-currencies though--and will look into further soon.

Interesting that you suggest ban banks. I never belonged to a Credit Union but Banks are FDIC. Recently I closed down my Bank of America accounts and re-opened them in Fifth Third Bank which pissed off Bank of America. Bank of America is banned from Ohio and on rare occasions need to talk the Bank Manger in person. DeWine shifted from Democrat to Republican and running for Governor of the State of Ohio. DeWine has name recognition in Ohio because that family has been in politics for many decades and never did anything wrong that I know of. Fifth Third Bank was born and bred in Ohio.

@TwistedSister

Online banks are quickly becoming far superior to traditional banks--such as Discover, Ally, etc. Not only more convienient, but no fees or minimums, higher interest rates, and more

My second wife's dad loaned money to a rural bank in Kentucky to keep it afloat in the Great Depression. What is your opinion of Bitcoin.

@TwistedSister

I haven't looked into bitcoin or crypto-currencies as of yet. I think I will soon though, as it has sparked my interest. Do you have thoughts on the topic?

As far as I know, invest one dollar at inception of Bitcoin that one dollar is worth a million dollars today. I strongly advise never invest in penny stocks which is gambling. A gambler's money has no home.

edit: Common strategy in penny stocks are Pump and Dump.
Thanks from xMathFanx

@Twisted Sister

I agree. There are much better options available, so why play 'craps'?
