In hotel rooms, one person, double bed, which bed sleep in?

I might take a trip in about 2 weeks or so, and will stay in several hotel rooms. Many times the rooms will have 2 beds in it, and I am not picky about it, but even prefer the double room, because I can put my bag on it.

Which bed do you sleep in? I always sleep in the room nearest the window, or the farthest back. If I and my wife are sleeping together, she takes the bed nearest to the door and the bathroom. If we get a room with one large bed, she always sleeps on the same side. The Fengshui is not the same.

On a broader note, people like to be in certain places. When I go to my bar, I like sitting in the corner or near the corner. That is my spot. I hate it when someone has my spot. Or the bus, would prefer to sit on one side of the bus over another. Or at school where students sit in the same desks.
Thanks from Twisted Sister

I always pick the bed nearest to the air conditioner/heater. The drone of the fan motor and flowing air puts me to sleep. Some people prefer the bed closest to the TV. In a bar I always sit with my back to the wall and as far away from the front door as possible.

my working day always starts with the "morning meeting" where the various duties of the day are allocated to various staff. its around a conference table, with anywhere from 15 to 25 people. while seating is entirely informal, first come first served, everyone has a regular "place". you wouldnt dream of sitting in someone elses spot, even though we all know nobody actually has a spot.

If someone quits, does the successor to the job inherit the place?
