I thank all extremists of both sides very little for the pushing out of regular folks from their involvement of being governed. I thank them not all, from both sides, for being ignorant tools of the recently reelected Putin and his new mandate too keep fucking with us and our allies.

But this isn't about your disdain for me and my simple query in trying to "spark a discussion". How you read this as my support for Trump or ignoring his faults, however, does escape me. Or, rather... I want it to escape me because i don't want to think less of you, not that you or anyone else here gives a rats ass what i think. But honor, truth and character means a lot to me.
Your response was simply mind boggling. How did I show disdain for you ? I merely pointed out that the right wing has been pushing grievance politics for 3 decades and asked “where the hell you have been ?” I never suggested in my response that you supported Chump either. To give Putin credit for something that has been engineered in this country for 3 decades totally misses the political reality on the ground. If anything, like Chump, Putin is merely striking the match on a fuel soaked country. The fuel was already provided domestically.

I have noticed in the past couple of weeks that the right wing has been pushing this very same talking point. (No, this doesn’t mean that I am calling you right wing). They seem to have run out of excuses for the incindiary rhetoric of their Dear Leader. So now I have heard right wing media starting to point the finger at Putin as a way of deflecting away from Chump. This will not succeed.

On DTT, the Democrats global message has been that the advent of right wing media platforms in the internet age has purposefully ratcheted up the incindiary rhetoric to achieve high ratings and financial returns. That has been our global message. Even IT, a Libertarian, has cited this powder keg atmosphere for years and has warned of a potential for a civil war.

We just disagree on the timeframe. I say that Putin and Chump recognized this division and simply exploit it. They did not create it. Like leveraging a business acquisition by way of junk bonds, Chump leveraged this division to reap a return he could have never achieved in the absence of such perverted leverage. The groundwork was already laid, Chump and Putin are merely putting match to an already fuel soaked country IMO.

I am sorta a small-l libertarian, but mostly I side with anyone who makes sense.

Three decades? Imho, the groundwork began with the arrival of the Moral Majority, born 1979.

Once a portion of the GOP really believed that Gawd was on their side, that was the beginning of the end of our democratic republic. Today, I'd gamble that a big majority of the GOP believes Gawd is on their side, Jeeeezus too.

If Gawd and Jeeeezus is on the GOP's side, then by default Satan is on the D's side.

Gawd and Jeeeezus do not compromise with Satan, and neither does the GOP. Thus, the beginning of the end of our Republic.

It's an amalgam of our discussions on this issue.

If you think this is weird and nonsensical, then a similar amalgam of our political discussions is similar to an out of body trip with a lay over in hell.

No, I understand you want a political discussion about Putin--which is fine--although we've done it a hundred times. That's not what I was asking. Here are your questions:

Putin causing divisions within the US
Pretty good! Lot's of material work with. Huh?? Is this an art project?

None! Quit Putin us on. A classy guy wouldn't do such a thing. Quit Putin us on? What does that even mean? Classy guy? A KGB thug, dictator and murderer?

Whose this Putin guy? Do you mean WHO IS this Putin guy? Are you implying that we don't know who Putin is?
Thanks from Lyzza

I was being playful with sarcasm, amalgams and puns. The last one, believe it or not, there are a few people out there who don't pay attention to issues concerning Russia, i was thinking of them.
Thanks from Clara007

Okay--thanks. I get it now. I think there are some really evil, vicious people in this world.
Putin is one of them.

Hilarious, the delusion of this guy!

"grievance politics"?

The last protest in this country that even remotely resembled a "republican grievance" was the Tea Party's objection to big government which began under Bush over the Patriot Act and was supported by Democrats, until Obama was elected and they pegged them as racist ''teabaggers''.

Are you F'n serious? Your delusional partisan bias is an absolute product of Leftist brainwashing and grievance peddling.

Sean Penn, you ain't foolin' anyone...

Putin is a bad guy, but the Left is overplaying their hand by blaming him for their loss.

There are absolutely a lot of morons who voted for Trump (most of which also voted for Obama). However, Democrats are the ones who benefit most from propaganda because their supporters rarely do any more homework than reading social media memes and tweets and ingesting everything the celebs on their favorite reality TV shows, and athletes on their favorite sports teams spew at them. They are like a bunch of baby birds being fed by their mama birds, when it comes to politics.

All you have to do is look at the Facebook trending column to see how much stock the Left puts into propaganda that fits the narratives that make them feel good about themselves. They got rid of it because they thought too many alternative views were slipping by their ''algorithms'' (because 1/100 is too much) and now they are replacing it with a more assured program (actually connected to Soros) to make sure their brainwashing is more effective. Silly that they still think real conservatives are influenced by social media memes and why they lost the election...
