I am exhibiting free will and choice every time I refrain on commenting on your lack of logic. Just one example.

I chose to make myself BLTs for lunch today.

I chose not to rape that really good looking woman yesterday. And on and on.

Rape? That tempted you? But the feminist dogma says rape is not about sex.

But how do you really know that was a free will choice? I bet you've received lots of programming training you not to do that sort of thing.

I just got an ad for a news article: Is Social Media Turning Us Into Monsters?

The gist of the article is about fake news, trolls, and a breakdown of civility. Apparently implying people are not responsible for their behavior, the environment has corrupted them.

And this has what to do with this discussion?

So you got nothing and are trying to get into semantics.

It doesn't sound like news but an op-ed.

To be a functioning member of society, it helps if you understand the difference.

Consider a kindergarten classroom. On the first day of school the children are likely to be chaotic, but if the teacher does a god job on the last day of school the children when instructed will sit quietly in rows until released.

Do the children choose to behave? What about the children who don't get the knack of sitting quietly? Are they ADD? Is their trouble in the home? Or can they choose to be naughty on their own?

I suppose if I put it off long enough, it will be my wife that chooses for me.
For those trapped in suspense, I did mow the lawn, almost all. Then the mower stalled. I fixed the mower but didn't go back to the spot I left. It's way in the back of an acre lot by the fence.

The fact that you were using the post I quoted as a justification for something. With you, it's hard to tell what.

So, we reason because there is an evolutionary advantage to being able to do that. And we're honest and moral (sometimes) because there is an evolutionary advantage to that.

Doesn't seem to be any free will involved.
