Robert E. Lee was a Terrible man.. hmmm

he Freed my Great Great Grandfather from Slavery.. he said that "It is and Abomniation for one man to own another."

Then again.. I live in the Real World not the imaginary world of one who does not know history.

Hey.. Why did Canadian Citizens have to Sue their Government so they could Buy PRIVATE HEALTH insurance, to prevent them from Dieing waiting for Care?

If liberalism is So Great why did Canadians have to AMERICANIZE their Government healthcare to prevent people from dieing in the streets.

Top court strikes down Quebec private health-care ban - Canada - CBC News

As a result of delays in receiving tests and surgeries, patients have suffered and even died in some cases, justices Beverley McLachlin, Jack Major, Michel Bastarache and Marie Deschamps found for the majority.

The Quebec government reacted by saying it would apply immediately for a stay of between six months and two years before the decision takes effect, given the chaos it could cause in the delivery of medical services in Quebec.

OH CANADA.. people come to Nashville For healthcare they cannot receive in Canada... I know I am a Microbiologist at a medical center here.

Robert E Lee said that it was the responsibility of the white man to own black men to "take care of them" for their evolution into a better race. Those are his almost exact words (I'm sure there's a small error on my part in there somewhere). He owned hundreds of slaves and treated them like dirt until the point where the law got in his way after he failed miserably in the war. Not only that, but he was fighting for a government that supported slavery and absolute white dominance over everyone!

Quebec is shit, and does whatever it wants, so I don't a frig about them. I live in Canada, the hospital treatment is amazing and our tech is equal to the states. Just because you get a couple dozen people from Quebec fleeing their messed up systems doesn't mean the other 32.9 million people in Canada feel the same. My uncle is a doctor who is well known across the country and even goes to the states often to lecture, and he's been honest me on his belief that our healthcare and treatments are equal if not better than the US.
Thanks from waitingtables

Wanna know my mark in Pre IB History at my high school last semester? 99. Broke two records, one for overall mark and another for final history exam mark: 98%. I know my history.

Robert E. Lee did not believe in Slavery nor did Thomas Jackson.

Remember it was Grant that Owned Slaves not Lee..

Grant Owned slaves until January 1 1869.

Lee Freed his slaves in 1858..

My Great Great Granfather was one.

So far from engaging in a war to perpetuate slavery, I am rejoiced that Slavery is abolished. I believe it will be greatly for the interest of the South. So fully am I satisfied of this that I would have cheerfully lost all that I have lost by the war, and have suffered all that I have suffered to have this object attained. R.E. Lee

Just curious...

How do you feel about The Great Klanbake or...

well within the last 50 years...

the fact that Senator Robert Byrd (D) was a chief recruiter for the Klan and awarded the title Grand Kleagle for doing so? Continuing...what about the phoney voice vote result from the last DNC?

Racism and denial of democratic rights are part and parcel in the Democratic Party...

What do you think about the fact that the US military was segregated by Democrats but desegregated by Republicans....or that Colin Powell was made head of the army by Republicans...or that Condoleeza Rice was made Secretary of State by Republicans? How about appointing a black Justice?

Name a few the Democrats have recognized as worthy of the same sort of recognition...

You might come up with Barak Obama...who isn't in the same league as the others.

Total BS, if Lee didn't believe in slavery then why did he side with the confederates? I mean, you don't expect me believe that little Virginia meant more to Lee than his ethical/political beliefs - that would make him a sort of backward sociopath, which DOES not fit his description. Also, why send a bunch of pro slavery letters and make pot slavery statements? Couldn't he have just said nothing? Doesn't add up. Are you talking about President Grant or some other Grant? Because, Uylesses Grant was a man who throughout his entire life fought for more rights for black people.

"I cannot take up arms against my beloved Virginia" R. E. Lee.

Lee was asked to take Command of the Union Army by Linclon, after much thought that is the Answer he gave to Abraham linclon as he resigned his commission in the US Military.
Thanks from sites and Tony

This is what I read in history...

As an aside:

People still think Lincoln, a Republican, started the Civil War.

Just sayin'
