Church Insurance Cites Act Of God Not Paying Church's Flood Damage

The church still holds services in the gymnasium until the humans clean up and repair all of god’s mess.

Confer said, “I know god. He opened the door today, so many different blessing for us and helped us with different things so far. I know there’s more to come.”

How much more can a church want coming after Americans subsidize these folks by picking up the tab for all manner of public services due to their tax-exempt status? Maybe the uphill flooding really was an act of god as righteous retribution for violating the Old Testament’s Tenth commandment prohibiting greed.

Church Insurance Cites ?Act of God? in Not Paying for Church?s Flood Damage

The claim should be honored, as the water entered the building through pipes.

I attended a event on forensic insurance adjusting, and we had an adjuster who had worked hurricane Katrina, he gave us a case of a restaurant in a basement that was in an area that had 4 feet of water in the street.
But close inspection revealed a faulty backflow preventer, meaning the restaurant would have filled with sewer water before flood waters reached it's location, so the claim was allowed.
Regular insurance does not cover flood water which enters through windows or doors, you need special flood insurance for that, but it covers water that enters through pipes.

"In a small Texas town, ( Mt. Vernon ) Drummond's bar began construction on a new building to increase their business. The local Baptist church started a campaign to block the bar from opening with petitions and prayers. Work progressed right up till the week before opening when lightning struck the bar and it burned to the ground.

The church folks were rather smug in their outlook after that, until the bar owner sued the church on the grounds that the church was ultimately responsible for the demise of his building, either through direct or indirect actions or means. The church vehemently denied all responsibility or any connection to the building's demise in its reply to the court.

As the case made its way into court, the judge looked over the paperwork. At the hearing he commented, "I don't know how I'm going to decide this, but as it appears from the paperwork, we have a bar owner who believes in the power of prayer, and an entire church congregation that does not."
Thanks from RNG

Basically this entire thread from Skews is a hate thread to make fun or and degrade the Church because Skews sees Christians as evil people.
