Democracy?? A simple majority should have won?

It is funny because 5 on each side crossed sides.

Otherwise, we are in a Democratic Republic. The simple majority does not always win if it doesn't follow the established law.

No wonder the funding bill did not pass, the majority leader (a republican) and the minority leader a democrat) voted against the bill...........
GOOD THINKING, the junior senator from ALA., Doug Jones, a democrat, voted with the GOP for the funding bill, that is so funny to me.
The vote 50 for 49 against, one abstained. 5 on each side switched to the other side. Looks like it was well planned out to me.
Shumar is making his bid to run for President?
McConnell is what he looks like!!!

HAS ANYONE SEEN THE FUNDING BILL?

And yet that's just the wonderful way to choose a president? Can you spell hypocrisy?

Ok Mr. Canada. You can keep your lil Canada suburb elections with permission from the queen. We will stick to our method or letting everyone have a chance to be represented instead of the wishes of a handful of cities. If you do not like it then to bad. Write the queen about it. You do not live here you do not pay taxes here. You are allowed to have an opinion on our affairs and that is fine. Just keep in mind when you go to bashing our electoral process that your process involves being certified by the Queen or her appointed representative. Feel free to deny it all you want

I don't consider the electoral college a hypocrisy; it is simply a function that we, as a nation, have outgrown.

I was referring to the hypocrisy of their criticizing the rules that determine Senate votes but cheering the rules governing how presidents are elected.

So it would be okay if NY Texas and California elected the President?

So it's OK that the majority of the people don't matter?
