And what has stopped GM, Ford, and Chrysler from being the only three Automobile manufacturers in America. Literally nothing.

....Mostly the answer to that was the Great Depression killed off a lot of the early manufacturers.....Recession in '58 finished off Packard and Studebaker... Rambler and Nash merged into AMC and was then absorbed by Chizzler.....What discouraged smaller competitors from jumping in going into the '70's and '80's was the crash certifications and environmental rules,,,,,Again regulations helped limit the market place.........

Now we have Mercedes, VW, Toyota and several other foreign competitors on the field..

Why were the railroad monopoly, the telephone monopoly, the oil monopoly and others forced to split under government decree? People's desire for their cars to be different is what prevented Ford from becoming a monopoly and undergoing the same type of forced split. And that is the basis of anti-monopoly laws in general.

And the theory about wealth migrating back to the rich has often been suggested but never tested.

Yet, people die every year trying to sneak in to get in on some of that Capitalism? Could it be the freebees that Capitalism is providing for the parasites?

Has there ever really been a true monopoly in this country? Even those that were forced to split up had completion prior to splitting. A true monopoly has never existed in this country.

Ya, OK? So Capitalism itself is not the culprit. So, is it socialist/capitalism their running from? Or, is it just plain old greed?
