Yep, trillions is fantasy, but otherwise Gordy listed the deaths attributable to capitalist economic engines, enforced by the governments and blessed by the churches: slavery, war, colonization, homelessness, poor working/living conditions, and we can add environmental destruction. Are you denying that countries with capitalist economic engines have engaged in all of the above?

Nope, but I cant say its unique to capitalism either.

Yea, since there hasn't ever been a communist country. The USSR, China, etc were centrally-planned capitalist countries, although they had a Marxist worldview.

Then how can you make a comparison to something that never existed? Furthermore, your views of true socialism are the same as the Christian view of heaven.

People die from the effects of capitalism every day (if I may also add depression and suicide as a result of poverty and alienation). If you count it up to right now, it is somewhere in the billions, if not the trillions.

Which, in a way, is the question I'm asking.

It's also worth pointing out that Marxism is different from communism. Communism is merely a pillar and the endpoint of Marxist struggle. Marxism is a worldview, sort of like a religion.

See, now this is turning into a Fayt like argument. Every car wreck is due to capitalism. Why? Because someone bought that car.

You wanting the Christian heaven. As long as someone wants something that they don't have, there will be some capitalism. As long as someone wants something someone else has, there will be socialism. I don't see your perfect Utopia as even reality
