Is the fabric of us society tearing?
First off let me just say that my heart goes out to the police in Texas and Louisiana.
Now that is out of the way, let's see if there is an answer to the question above.
In the past month, there has been 6 separate incidents of violence...no...unnecessary violence between Police and citizens plus a terrorist shooting.
The very fabric of an open democratic society relies on the rule of law. Week by week by week, the american people seem to be losing respect for the role of law enforcement within society. Even worse, a significant sector of society has lost respect for the actual officers charged with enforcing the rule of Law.
Conversely, the police are always on the defensive and ready to pull their weapon at the slightest perceived threat.
I think there are multiple factors at work driving this sentiment.
First, and most obvious is the absolutely putrid conditions of your inner cities...It seems that the primary role of law enforcement is to make sure that nothing pours onto the streets outside of the projects...other than that, 500 shot is acceptable. There were more shooting deaths over the July long weekend in the US than there was in one month in Iraq...how does that work.
Next is the gun laws. If someone needs a gun, all they have to do is go to a gun show and buy whatever they want...legally and unregistered. Of course, if they want to steal one, there are a plethora of small dealers who leave the guns and ammo on their shelf over night. Here, our dealers must secure them in a approved gun locker. I do not understand how 50%+ of your society does not see this as a major contributing factor. In most of the western world, it is your sole contributing factor.
Finally, it is your Media fed by your political war in Washington. EVERYTHING is treated as a political grenade, especially on the right. They pound it into your consciousness that it is your right to carry a gun and if you do not have one, then whatever happens to you is your fault. I have american friends and relatives who would not leave there home without a weapon. Every time there is an incident like Baton Rouge or Dallas, the media roll out their favorite "black apologists" "reverends" "political contributors" "black lives matter rep" "ex CIA/FBI/ANAM contributors" "legal contributors" etc.
These events no longer simply get reported. Every one and their momma is looking for face time to further their own agendas. I actually heard a US Rep brag about going to a black church, he didn't say baptist or evangelical or predominantly African American. He went on to say how his wife was hugging the "blacks" and they were thanking them for showing up.
Now, down to the example your justice system is setting. There are all kinds of statistics that demonstrates racial and economic imbalances in conviction rate and sentences...but there is one recent incident that indicates, no PROVES, that democracy is no longer at work in The United States. Your Democratic Candidate for president was cleared of all charges by the FBI last week. I honestly felt for your FBI director...as he choked out those words..."the FBI is not moving forward with criminal charges against Hillary Clinton." He then went on to outline where and how she broke the law....WWAAAHHHTTT! They found that she knowingly and intentionally:
Tampered with evidence after her personal email came under scrutiny by erasing tens of thousands of emails.
Distributed and sent top secret information over an unsecured server to recipients in other foreign goverments
Had top secret information intercepted from an unsecured server by opposing interests
Put the lives of US agents and operatives in danger.
Was responsible through negligent handling of information on an unsecured server for the timing of the attacks on Benghazi.
Thats right, and read this very carefully as I will say it twice...
Hillary Clinton was found to have broken the law and no charges were laid.
Again, Hillary Clinton was found to have broken the law and no charges were laid.
The same week, there was a case in Jacksonville where a young american was sentenced to 8 years for possession of 1.5 ounces of Marijuana. Insane.
The other incident is the fact that only one person, a mortgage broker, was sent to Prison for the collapse and fraudulent, criminal manipulation of $5 trillion in mortgages that spiraled THE WORLD into a recession that EUROPE is still trying to recover from.
Ladies and gentlemen...your justice system is for sale to the highest and/or most powerful bidder...without question. You are now living in what I call an econocratic society. You are ruled by the financiers and political heavyweights who are molding your society to meet their own personal, religious, financial and political needs.
Your politicians won't even remove guns from people as the most controversial 2 weeks in your political history get under way.
This violence will not stop. You are too far gone. Your best option is to declare martial law in Louisiana, Texas, Florida, Baltimore and anywhere else where major unrest is still in existence, go house to house in a search for guns (National Guard, Army Reserves, Boy Scouts) and suspend the 2nd Amendment.
If there is no reduction in firearms, the Police have every right and should be supported in a shoot first, ask later strategy. They have no choice if aggression is shown...I am not sure I wouldn't do the same thing.
Of course this won't happen.
I do think, though, that this year the Black Lives Matter Organization will be tagged as a domestic terrorist organization.
It all comes down to your corrupt elitist judicial system and total disregard for human life through your countries continued support of the firearms industry. You CANNOT be called a democratic society where the Judiciary is openly and unquestionably influenced at the very least, but probably bought off.
The only other possibility is for some of your regions to separate as an independent country and try to start over with some sense of reason-ability.
