Formula 1 Grid Girls Slam Feminists Who Put Them Out of Work

Quote:

Late last month feminists celebrated a victory, after convincing Formula 1 racing to get rid of its gird girls. Now the women who lost their jobs are slamming the feminists for their unwanted interference.
At the end of January, Formula 1 announced that it had decided to end its use of the pretty models who interact with the crowd and carry the names of sponsors on their clothing. The grid girls will be gone commencing with the new season which starts at the end of March.

“While the practice of employing grid girls has been a staple of Formula 1 grands prix for decades, we feel this custom does not resonate with our brand values and clearly is at odds with modern day societal norms,” said managing director of commercial operations Sean Bratches.

“We don’t believe the practice is appropriate or relevant to Formula 1 and its fans, old and new, across the world,” Bratches added.

But now the women who have just lost their jobs are slamming the decision and the interference of the feminists who lobbied the sport to fire the girls.

It is a shame !!!

If you REALLY want to see cultural differences. Attend a NASCAR race then attend an F1. Even at the same track. The F1 crowd is SOOOOOOOOOO much nicer, classier and better behaved !!!

At the last F1 I attended I didn't see a single 350 lbs woman wearing Daisy Dukes and/or bikini halter top !!
Thanks from Sabcat and Hollywood

Yeah. What should we discuss today? Nuclear war OR Grid Girls??

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Formula One run/managed by men?? AND wasn't it those men who made this decision, but you want us to think a handful of feminists got together and persuaded a huge conglomerate of men to eliminate Grid Girls?

AND....we should believe that scantily clad girls walking around, holding umbrellas over the drivers are contributing to society? That their jobs are meaningful and fulfilling?

Here's an idea. How about having Grid Girls AND BOYS---dressed in jumpsuits or slacks and golf shirts??
Thanks from Hollywood

I love grid girls, there's nothing like a great looking, sexy, woman to brighten one's day. Next those feminists hags will want to ban those women with the round # signs at boxing matches.

Ya know Clara I'm sure NONE of those girls thought "ohhhhh goody I've achieved my life long dream of being a grid girl". I'm pretty sure none of them were just relishing the idea of putting on a tight dress, some spiky high heels and spending the next several hours standing in the sun holding a sign. And BTW the teams are who hold the umbrella for the drivers. So are they being particularly fulfilled ? Is that one weekend meaningful to them ?? Ehhh probably not.

However, I bet every one of them was glad to be getting paid as a PROFESSIONAL model. I'm sure most of them are hoping that this one lowly job will lead to other better jobs along the path to a career in modeling. A career that can pay exceedingly well.

But while it might seem like a big step forward to some people, there are women across the UK who are being left without a job, regular payment and a career potentially in tatters.

Giorgia Davies, is seven months pregnant and currently on maternity leave. She has been a promotional model and 'grid girl' for the last seven years.

After hearing the news, the former Miss England finalist slammed the decision, implying that the ban has 'ended her career' and has left her stressed and anxious about how she will continue to support her unborn baby's future

MY MY MY! Isn't it mah-velous to read all about men's OUTRAGE over women's jobs?? AND DEAR GOD--how will we manage in our upcoming dystopian society without.....GRID GIRLS??

I have to say, I've never seen so many men defending the rights of women to access employment before. Men are a bit less supportive when it comes to advocating for the rights of mothers to stay in the workforce, or women to be given equal workplace opportunities (and financial remuneration) or, funnily enough, women to actually enter motorsports as race car drivers - but maybe that's all just an extremely interesting coincidence.
Because I guess it turns out that in their own way, when it benefits them, they really do care about the rights of women to be able to reinforce their own sexist belief systems!
How beneficent--how deeply moving it is to know that SOME of you are concerned Grid Girls professional modeling careers have POSSIBLY been derailed for life. YES! It's heartbreaking. Sad face.

What a flippin' nightmare to think what we might be creating as a society where we must chip away at the foundations (sexy girls who brighten one's day) of sexism and objectification that have historically positioned women as a mere sideshow to men's adventures and achievements.
No more flattering men's egos?? No more gawking and slobbering?? What terrifying times we live in where once again MEN have decided WHO will work, WHAT they will wear, WHERE they will be sent, WHEN they will BEND OVER and HOW FAR they will bend.
It must be frightening for men....so worried that just THINKING about a half-naked woman will end civilization as we know it.

How about this, boys. Go buy a Playboy magazine.
Thanks from Hollywood

Now, now, now. What are you saying here? Are you implying this about those who have posted in this thread? The posters on this board? Men in general? Just the men in your life?
