An examination of "fake news"

Since this has become such a hot topic today I figured I would post this. It is a good, short video. Never know it may be banned by the end of the day/week.

Thanks from Generaloberst, coke and Toto2

this whole fake news bullshit is so laughable. They show you a couple of fake sites set up to look like abc news or some shit, probably to infect you with a trojan, and then use that narrative to convince you to never listen to anybody but them. They'd have you believe that everything you read or hear about that can't be traced back to some Mainstream media outlet is a lie.

It's so easy to read their propaganda like a book, especially when they all decide to put out articles about fake news at roughly the same time. It reminds me of GamerGate, where polygon, kotaku and all these other review sites all put out articles within a 24 hour period at the same time claiming the traditional "gaymer" was a dying stereotype and that devs should stop catering to their customers or acknowledging these people exists and start being PC SJW's. Turns out they were all colluding together in a skype group specifically to push a narrative. That didn't stop them from pretending that this group didn't exist even though everyone could could google it and read the chat logs. Like the podesta emails, they banked on the average person not bothering to actually try and find out the truth.

Same shit different day I guess, although this is at an unprecedented scale and the stakes and people involved are pretty heavy. But it's just ironic how a bunch of people who just wanted to investigate corruption in their media set the precedent. Any site or organization who's mission statement is providing news can't be trusted. No matter which way they lean politically. That's the one thing anyone with an honest view of the world can take away.
Thanks from Generaloberst and coke
