They should all get big raises, since America is going to be so great.
WE should all get big raises....that includes Truck Drivers, Plumbers and Electricians....But it don't always work that way...Does it??

what you are ignoring is not only the pensions and benefits...It's also the number of extra teachers and assistants that got added....All these people are dues paying Union members....and that is the little secret....The more dues payers there are equals the more the greedy unions have....The unions are nothing but a big business...the protection business... And the public pays for it....

Duh, union people get paid more than non-union people.
Union jobs come with more benefits than non-union jobs.

The great past that Trump refers to, was chock full of union jobs.
That's why it was so great.

One of the reasons the GOP has worked so hard to ship jobs overseas, was to decimate the unions.
If Trump brings back jobs, will they be good paying union jobs, or fast food?
Thanks from imaginethat, Clara007 and Daws77

Well...Why is that??...Why does a Union Carpenter get paid more than a non-Union Carpenter...or a Union Truck Driver get paid more than a non-Union truck driver??....What are these Union guys special or what??..I thought all you Leftroids believed so much in equality...

I said it before and I'll say it again....The Unions are just another big Business....The GOP did not decimate the Unions they did it to their selves....The workers finally figured it out, that in the long run the unions were not looking out for the worker...they were only concerned with lining their own pockets...
Thanks from Sabcat

It's bargaining power, there are only a few big contractors, in a non union situation they deal with each worker individually, paying the very least they get away with, more for this guy, less for that guy, because that guy is desperate for work, if that guy doesn't work for less, the job goes on, he just doesn't get it.
In a union situation the unit bargains as a equal at the table, if they don't agree nobody gets paid.
They get a better deal, they get stability, and they do better work.
Thanks from Hollywood and Daws77

All those jobs that you whine about were union jobs, the mills, the factories, the mines. The non union jobs were taken by immigrants, fruit pickers, farm workers.
Which jobs do you think the folks who voted for Trump want?
