Trump Asked Comey to End Flynn Investigation

The New York Times on Twitter:

Exclusive: Donald Trump asked James Comey to end the Michael Flynn inquiry in February, Comey wrote in a memo then...

Comey Memo says: "I hope you can let this go", the president told then FBI Director James Comey.

WASHINGTON — President Trump asked the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, to shut down the federal investigation into Mr. Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael T. Flynn, in an Oval Office meeting in February, according to a memo Mr. Comey wrote shortly after the meeting.

The White House denies this.

From what i'm hearing, it looks like Comey has a paper trail. A quite extensive one. It also appears this has been confirmed by more than one source. NC Republican Richard Burr has just stated that it's up to the NYT to put forth the memo. If Republicans are going down the fake news road, and basically accuse Comey of lying, and he goes in front of Congress and verifies that memo, Trump, and every Republican member of Congress that carries his water is done.

This presidency is sounding/looking more Nixonian every day and it's heading the same direction. I have visions of Trump boarding a patriotic helicopter, waving goodbye for the last time.

Maybe we should start rehearsing the words "President Pence"??? Also frightening.

Hmmm, three months ago, and only now this comes out from Comey? Was Comey holding this as blackmail? Because he sat on this if factual.

Does Comey have memos about meetings between himself and Obama?

Who else was Comey writing memos about, and to what end?

Comey showing he is a hack, and good riddance to him.

BTW, acting Director McCabe testified under oath that there was no attempt to interfere with any Russian investigations.

McCabe was hand-picked by Comey as number two at the Bureau.

It is a common practice to make tapes or written notes/memos during meetings in Washington--not just for the FBI but for any department. However, in cases LIKE the FBI director, whose tenure is supposed to be 10 years--it's important to keep notes. Years later it would be easy to misremember what was said--what points were made and WHO said what.
Details of Comey’s notes were shared with a very small circle of people at the FBI and Justice Department, these people said. Comey’s description of the event made clear his understanding of the conversation was that the president was seeking to impede the investigation, according to people who have read the account or had it read to them, these people said. Comey felt that the conversation was improper and decided to keep the details of the conversations away from the case agents working on the Russia probe.

My question is this. WHY does Trump feel such a loyalty to Flynn? Does Flynn have something ON Trump? Did Flynn strongly encourage Trump to ask Comey to drop the investigation?
Once again this shows Trump to be incredibly stupid. Why would he think this would be appropriate? It smacks of obstruction of justice.
Thanks from waitingtables

So Comey allegedly wrote this memo three months ago, yet never informed any committees, or any committee members about that alleged conversation. Hmm.

And if Trump had not fired his sorry ass, Comey would still be sitting on this? Hmm.

And what other memos does Comey have tucked away? They are government property, not his private property. Snake Comey at work.

SNAKE Comey?? Haha....for doing his job? Keeping copious notes on his questionable conversations with the boy president. I'd say it was a pretty smart move on Comey's part. This MAY come down to a "He said He said" scenario, but Comey will eventually either testify or make his notes public, although
I suppose you will continute to worship at the altar of the King.

AND please supply us with evidence that Comey's notes are government property. We would all like to see where you got THAT from. Link? Source?

AND what about Trump's epic LIE that those who worked for Comey had "LOST faith/confidence in him"? Apparently DJT did NOT realize how loyal Comey's colleagues REALLY are.
Things are NOT going well for the president and this is just the beginning. Buckle up, sweet pea. This ride is going to get a LOT bumpier before it's over.

The only thing anyone knows about the notes, journal, or memos--depending on who is reporting it---is that a random and unnamend source at the FBI picked up the phone and called a Times reporter.

Regardless if Trump was dumb enough to ask Comey to ease up on Flynn, it was not unlawful.

Here is the process of the Trump narratives:

Any story that is about Trump maybe doing something wrong even when no proof is evident sends them into an orgasmic frenzy. However when we have proof like on Hillary, and her emails, and the criminality of it, nothing to see, it really is funny, tragic but funny.
