Sessions Discussed Trump Campaign with Kislyak

Drip Drip Drip.

A former official said that the intelligence indicates that Sessions and Kislyak had “substantive” discussions on matters including Trump’s positions on Russia-related issues and prospects for U.S.-Russia relations in a Trump administration.

Russia’s ambassador to Washington told his superiors in Moscow that he discussed campaign-related matters, including policy issues important to Moscow, with Jeff Sessions during the 2016 presidential race, contrary to public assertions by the embattled attorney general, according to current and former U.S. officials.

Ambassador Sergey Kislyak’s accounts of two conversations with Sessions — then a top foreign policy adviser to Republican candidate Donald Trump — were intercepted by U.S. spy agencies, which monitor the communications of senior Russian officials both in the United States and in Russia. Sessions initially failed to disclose his contacts with Kislyak and then said that the meetings were not about the Trump campaign.

One U.S. official said that Sessions — who testified that he has no recollection of an April encounter — has provided “misleading” statements that are “contradicted by other evidence.” A former official said that the intelligence indicates that Sessions and Kislyak had “substantive” discussions on matters including Trump’s positions on Russia-related issues and prospects for U.S.-Russia relations in a Trump administration.

More leaking? Each leak a felony. That is, if true. As with the "secret" meeting Trump had with Putin, which never did happen. So either a leak, and a felony, or more fake news.

Trump has used leaking to the press as his method of operation for decades. The damaging Russia info on Session will either force the Attorney General to resign or give Trump cause to fire him. It appears that Donald Trump has learned from Comey firing debacle, as he is now planting the cause for the firing in the press before he pulls the trigger.

Trump demands loyalty from those around him, but if he is behind the Sessions/Russia, it is more evidence that he is incapable of giving it back."

Can't wait to hear what the DTT Right have to say.

OY! So many reading comp issues on DTT...even new members? Discouraging to say the least.
What part of Russian ambassador/Sergey Kislyak did you not get?? AND do you want to stick with your 'each leak is a felony' if it turns out The Don leaked it OR will that be okay?

I wouldn't worry about it because just today Thumper says he can pardon anyone he wants...so....there ya go! No worries. Apparently, Don thinks he can even pardon himself, if necessary. So awesome to be King.

Oh, and the 2nd meeting with PUTIN did happen. Maybe you missed that day in the media--hour after hour--while you were in your underground bunker?

Every time documents from the NSA or wherever are leaked it is a felony. The left has no trouble with people committing felonies. We can actually point to statutory law that covers this. Ergo, the left is in favor of felonies.

If this isn't just more of the fake news, like the "secret" meeting between Trump and Putin.

Now "The Don leaked it"? BTW, POTUS can declassify any classified document that he wishes to, and release it.

The pardon power of POTUS is virtually total, except in cases of impeachment. There ya go!
