There were 79 hearings (all bipartisan). 181 Witnesses during the 100 hours of hearings. AND the bill was posted online 30 days before the first vote...and I know that to be true because I attempted to read the "thing" online.

In addition the final draft was posted online 72 hours before the vote.

So HOW could it be online for several weeks??
it was on line since the first week of November, and been updated as amended.

House plan since early September.

Try using google "GOP Tax plan Text"

No thanks to YOU, but I found it online and you are correct that it was posted November 2, but.......it was voted into law by the Senate on December 2nd.
ONE MONTH!

So how many bi-partisan committees were there? How many witnesses called? How many hearings? Markups?? Did the GOP reach out to the Dems? How many preliminaries were there before the final vote? When did the Dem Senators get a chance to read the FINAL bill?? ONE MONTH from online text to passage.

Do not tell me this process was the same as the passage of ACA. Here is a handy timeline for all of you who keep repeating the same lie.

If no one knew about it, why the hell were they bitching about something they knew nothing about?

Even CNN posted the links on Nov 2 2017:

Are you challenged or impaired in some way?? Because if you are I'll happily give you a pass on about the dumbest question I've had since....well.....the last time Sabcat asked me something.
See if this makes sense to you, dude. When a Republican Administration last conducted a thorough overhaul of the tax code, in 1986, there were more than a dozen hearings in Congress, and the process took more than six months. This time, there have been no public hearings, and the measure is being rushed through in a few weeks--one month-- with virtually no transparency.
This isn’t “regular order”—the term McCain used when he voted no in the health-care vote. So NONE of the Democratic Senators knew WHAT was in the bill except for rumor and speculation. Even though the original was posted online Nov. 2, it was NOT the original text that was passed. There were markups---many many markups. Moving on.....

On Friday, Mitch McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader, announced that he had the votes to pass a bill, but what bill? A final version, which ran to more than five hundred pages, didn’t emerge until about 6 p.m. (FRIDAY) and some of the pages had inserts scrawled in ink. Schumer tweeted out: Can anybody else read this? More mark-ups ensued.

The last-minute haggling and rewriting resulted in a bill even more skewed. To buy the votes of Senators Steve Daines, of Montana, and Ron Johnson, of Wisconsin, the G.O.P. leadership agreed to further sweeten the pot for owners of unincorporated businesses who declare their profits as “pass through” income on their personal tax returns.

Although Daines and Johnson claimed that they were trying to help owners of small businesses, the fact is that the richest one per cent of households receive more than half of all the pass-through income the economy generates. Donald Trump, who owns dozens of pass-through ventures, is a member of this group, and as a result of the bill he could see his marginal tax rate reduced from 39.6 per cent to below thirty per cent. But that's neither here nor there--just extra special information....about your president.

The final vote came at 2:00 AM. That's A.M. Dark. Night. Time.
Thanks from imaginethat

I took no position nor have I made any comments about the tax bill, yet you feel the need to make a derogatory comment against me just for pointing out your oversight, and then to sanctimoniously ramble on as if I had actually made comments on the bill itself.

All I did was to pose a question of why were there people bitching about what is in the bill if no one supposedly according to you can read it according to your false allegation.

Are you implying that none of the Democratic Representatives and Senators were smart enough to click on a link but somehow found the need to complain about things they could not possibly have known about? All bills take haggling and negotiations, whether they be partisan or bipartisan. To deny that is to be disingenuous.
