Nunes' Weapon of Mass Distraction

Surprise surprise! Sometimes I watch the FOX/Henhouse report.

Fox News anchor Shepard Smith rebuked Republicans in Congress and some at his own network for hyping the release of a memo reportedly detailing surveillance abuses by the U.S. government, calling the memo a "weapon of mass distraction" on his show Thursday.

In remarks Thursday afternoon, Smith dismissed the memo, compiled by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), saying it lacks real substance.

"Many who've seen the memo say it's misleading, distracting and lacking context," Smith said. "The memo itself is in the conservative discussion mix while the special counsel investigating Russian interference into our democracy is apparently about to interview the president of the United States while seeking to determine whether he's colluded with the Russians or obstructed justice."

"A memo can be a weapon of partisan mass distraction," he added. "Especially at a pivotal moment in American democracy when it behooves the man in charge for supporters to believe the institutions can't be trusted, the investigators are corrupt and the news media are liars. Context matters."
Wait....what?? Context? Never heard of it. LOL

Right, lets wait till we can read the memo- darling.

P.S. Shepard Smith is a pompas ass, and would be a better fit for MSNBC.

Well, DAH-LING, that could be a problem, couldn't it? First we hear the GOP want give a copy to the FBI, so that the organization can see what theyíre being accused of. Now, not even fellow Republicans can get a peek. The Senate Intelligence Chair, Richard Burr--R-N.C., hasn't reviewed it. Burr declined to discuss the document or confirm to CNN whether his staff had been able to examine it.

ďItís Devinís memo so you need to ask him what it means,Ē he said. ďI sort of donít discuss anything that is part of our investigation, so Iíll leave it up to him to describe.Ē Burr, however, is not alone in the dark, when it comes to Nunesí magical, mystery memo. Other senators want to see it, but canít. The FBI wants to see it, but canít. The Department of Justice wants to see it, but canít.

Do you detect a pattern?

This mystery memo supposedly details about how the FBI and Justice Department have abused a government surveillance program, in order to spy on Trumpís team and bring down the Trump presidency.

Pretty spooky stuff, and itís all contained in 4, short pages. Maybe someone besides Nunes should SEE IT.
